    ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

We are eternally grateful to our children who are our biggest WHY. They are the reason we wake up every morning to sweat it out. They have been pushed away many times in the process of writing this book.

A big thank you to our spouses who encouraged and stood by us when we felt depleted and discouraged. We acknowledge our parents for bequeathing us the values of diligence and industry and, for modeling confidence.

We appreciate you, Claudia Onsare, Ruth Omondi and Evelyne Onkwani, for taking your time to read through the manuscript and offering suggestions for improvement. A special mention to Dr Victoria Wambua- Mokua who read the book twice just to make sure the typos were minimized.

Sometimes dreams lie dormant in our brains until someone challenges us to take action. That someone was Lyna Nyamwaya, who one day said to me, I am waiting for your book Pastor Leakey, you are an eagle. Without your words, the book SOAR could still be saved in our computers. For this we are forever grateful.

Our heartfelt gratitude also goes to Francis Alex for standing in the gap and being the first donor towards this project. We acknowledge are equally Jonathan Green and Jonathan Kioko whose ideas shaped the design of the book. Last, but definitely not the least, we are indebted to Lulu publishing Services, Deb Johnson our Fulfilment Services Coordinator and her team for their contributions, all of which are needed if you are going to publish a book.

Every major accomplishment in a person’s life requires a high-level of commitment. I am sure you can remember such accomplishments in your life and what it took to realize them. Perhaps you were starting your own business, or contemplating a job change or even changing subjects in school. Maybe you wanted to chart a new path for your company or your family. Whatever it was, there was probably some initial hesitancy. One day you were eager to start your big dream and the next day you were not so sure.

Leakey and Sussy realize that in those moments of doubt and hesitancy, we need help. We need reminding that human potential is limitless. The only obstacle is our self-limiting beliefs. When we know our true identity, and take captive our negative thoughts and beliefs, we can surmount anything.
