dmittedly, it never really struck any of us at the time how substandard our portable garage lighting long enough. Then there was never anywhere convenient to hang your lamp (and it had to be hung), you could never quite aim the light precisely where you wanted it, stopping to move it was a chore, and the shadows plunged too many important bits into black hole status. Finally, despite being encased in a protective shroud of glass that was itself caged in a girdle of safety metal, bulbs shattered like butterfly wings.
