      In another jail. In another cell. A fire hose sprayed. Stingingly. It was the cries of Aaron that could be heard. His hands, too, were cuffed. Behind his back. The skin around his wrist breaking. Bleeding. His naked body rolled across the cell floor by the force of the water. Pushed against the wall. Screaming as frigid water burned against his face.

      Sadistic guards were watching and laughing. They shouted.

      Clean that queer up! Wash him down!


      Shut him up! Aim for his face!


      Aim for his nuts!

      Aaron cried out. Trying to huddle in a ball. There were three. He could feel them. Like some malevolent force unleashed in a Shakespearean tragedy to taunt his soul and torture his body.

      Aaron still cuffed. Still naked. Dragged by two up to the waiting arms of the first.

      They say you’re gonna be shipped out, the guard said with angry spittle. I say fuck that—His baton swung hard. Striking Aaron in the gut. He followed it up with another blow across his head.

      Aaron gasped and trembled. Blood pouring down his forehead now until he tasted warm iron on his lips. Don't...don't... was all Aaron could manage.

      But I say the only good queer is a dead queer. The guard laughed. Clubbed him again.

      Aaron's body slumped in pain.
Blood traces shot back and could be seen on the guard's hand. Hold 'em up. Hold 'em up! the guard ordered. Higher! he screamed.


      You don't understand— Aaron tried.


      But the guard brought his baton back down on each of Aaron's arms.


      Shut the fuck up! He clubbed Aaron hard in the groin.


      Aaron, coughing and choking. Collapsing to the floor. He could see his blood. Mingling with water and tile.


      The guards laughing. More animal than human.


      You know that's gotta smart, laughed the second monster.


      Pick ‘em up, ordered the first guard again. Calmly. A vicious hook. This time across the jaw. Aaron's blood-spattered onto one of them. Across the walls from the impact.


      Careful, Christ! screamed the third demon. I don't want any faggot blood on me. He
