Canker resistant acid lime

BACTERIAL CANKER is a major disease on acid lime (Citrus aurantifoliat). All acid lime varieties are susceptible to this infestation. The disease can be managed by spraying 1 g. streptocycline + 30 g. Copper Oxy chloride in 10 litres of water 4 times at monthly interval during monsoon after pruning. The Balaji acid lime developed at All India Co-ordinated Research Project on Citrus, Sri Venkateswara Agricultural College, Tirupati is a hybrid and is resistant to the disease.
