Ramcharitmanas written by Goswami Tulsi Das is a mahakavya, composite script which
includes the complete story of Lord Rama. The script inaugurates Rama as "Purushottam Ram"
ideal human, king Lord and best preacher ''Rameshwar Guru''. The script starts from Prayer of God
to enable Tulsi Das to complete the project without hurdles. In the beginning various causes of
incarnation of God are mentioned and stated the story how the queens of king Dashrath conceived
through putra makam yagna and Lord Rama appeared on the earth. The story continues from
juvenile to young age where Lord Rama accompanied Rishi (Hermit) Vishwamitra to kill the
demons, the marriage ceremony took place. Where Lord Rama tied knot with Sita. In place of
enthronement Rama was send to 14 yrs. exile during the period he dwelt in jungle where his wife
Sita was abducted by demon Ravana to Lanka and was put under a tree. Hanuman meet Rama, took
him to monkey Lord Sugreeva who was also in exile. Hanuman traced Sita in Lanka, arrived back
and informed Rama. Who crossed the ocean through Bridge constructed by his army and engineers
Nala and Neela. Rama attacked Lanka, defeated Ravana in war & killed. On return he was
enthroned in Ayodhya and preached all for Humanity.
The journey started from Bal Kand travelling to 7 Kands i.e., Balkand, Ayodhya Kand,
Aranya Kand, Kishkindha Kand, Sunder Kand, Lanka Kand and Uttar Kand.
Each Kand has specific stage of life from childhood to adult and special activities from
games to war to preach etc. Thus each Kand has prevalence of particular scientific aspect.
Besides social sciences which have been extensively dealt in Ramcharitmanas, physical
science, the Role of Energy in the material/living world, salient features of aviation, missiles,
formation of clouds during war and weaponry etc. In Chemical Science, with special reference to
Chemical reactions the vary basis of development and evolution, and biological sciences specially,
anatomy, physiology, cytology, genetics, bio diversity and environmental science are dealt in brief.
From the content, very conveniently the spiritual story of Lord Rama can be corroborated
with the different branches of modern science.
Saint Tulsi possessed noble disposition and loving nature, innocent heart and catholic spirit.
He fixed the object for well being of whole globe and to bring equality prosperity for all through
science.

The complete exploration of science in Ramcharitmanas is very difficult. Also the
description of various branches of science mentioned in the script is beyond the scope of this article.

Since Tulsidas has written the story of Lord of Raghus in accordance with various Puranas,
Vedas, Aagams and Valmiki Ramayana besides culling it from other sources as well, this
composition of book has a common parlance of science as script zed in the above mentioned

Since beginning human have been curios to know the origin of life, its ancestral linkage and
evolutionary trend. In order to discuss the origin of life, Ramcharitmanas depicts that all living
forms have common inheritance and thus are similar in their chemical basis. The author very clearly
states that the world originated from the common ancestor/ingredients and thus is similar in their

are liked by nature/God. Since it has knowledge of science Tulsi expressed its respect and placed
human beings on the top of hierarchy among living ones and in further gradation scientists top on

Tulsi says that in thousands of human one is found religious, out of such religious flock
rarely one is selfless, among selfless rare one acquires balanced knowledge, among such
knowledgeable lot only few actually perform, and among thousands of such
performers/achievers rarest of the rare are dedicated to the science.

Therefore among all the human scientists are placed on the highest position in the rank and
file. Author desires to bring equality among the human but apprehends difficulty to achieve equality
in practice. Thus expresses his confidence on science and scientists because of its strong belief that
only science can prove equality, universality, complete peace and ever ending happiness,. The

One component of MAYA, KARMA is always consistent while the other keeps changing.
Also the mechanism of Karma MAYA starts in a defined way. ACTION. In each reaction the
synthesis starts from ionization leading to formation of ion(S). Thus available ions join with other
and ligation takes place .This ligation requires compatibility between two ions. Two compatible
ions will join and form the new atom/molecule. One component ENERGY is consistent while the
other components may change. Before each chemical synthesis the act starts with ionization and
then ions combine with one-another, and Re-ACT-ion occurs consequently generates new
product(s). Under the prevailing physico-chemical conditions homologous or heterologous nature
this 'RE-ACT-ION' forms old/new atom-molecule-crystal. It clearly demonstrates that when the

centre of activity comes in the front, world starts and Reaction leads to Creation. With three
(HEAD) bonds this four handed element (BRAHMA) carbon is the basis for genesis of life, is
continuously required for the sustenance of life also. Therefore irrespective of kind of diet one
takes; vegetarian/non-vegetarian, the carbon with 3 bonds and four valence electrons is always their
leading to variety of metabolic (anabolic/catabolic) pathways to run the life.

The appeared part of carbon was beautiful to look at, which was the pure form of carbon i.e;
Diamond. It has similarity with lord BRAHMA who has 3 heads and four hands. Carbon also has
maximum 3 bonds and tetra valence. Four handed tetra valence carbon the key for conversion,
utilizes energy and converts non-living to living form. Thus the difference between these two
groups is a hair line. It also states that this is the kinetic energy/free energy which motivates the
molecules/atoms as to the water into water waves.
Then it is sure that energy is one of the inevitable compulsory components in synthesis
process and to run the worldly affairs it helps in synthesizing molecules and performing work. In
evolutionary process some molecules turn out to be living, however other fall in the category of
non-living. With this common factor how life starts with the help of other molecules. Tulsi stated
in the above cited lines that at the time of birth, Lord Rama appeared with four hands. With the help
of these four hands the whole universe is created.

These lines depict that the world 'Brahmand' is resultant of MA-YA' - 'REACTION'. The
world is constituted of two groups living 'Chetan' SAGUD and Non-Living 'Jada' AGUD; however
the gradient of both of these groups are common. The line states that..

Tulsi very clearly envisioned that the worldly affairs are offshoots of these two groups
which lead to all the formations and their materialistic activities.
If there is commonality in non-living and living beings then how, and why, they differ with
one another. For this the following line says;

Ether, air, fire, water and earth all these are inert by nature. It is reaction (Maya) between
reactants, resultant and cosmic nature which brought them forth for the purpose of creation under an
impulse from energy.
Means all the above five constituents of body in isolation behave as nonliving and on
suitable proportion may yield to living forms and living activities as stated:

The necessary components for all the actions are, availability of Energy - (Electron)
and morphogenetic germ - sub atomic - atomic structure, which on combination and permutations

The question arises, that energy which is formless, why it attains form? What makes this
unqualified entity assume a qualified form? For this Tulsi explained in the clear terms that, which is
formless without character, unseen, reacts in affection/attraction attains the form, because of

That all the reaction occur due to difference of Electro magnetic force between two reacting
atoms/ and energy flows from higher level to lower level. This formlessness and shaped/formed
phenomenon are very close as exist in the water and ice. Water is formless while ice has
shape/form. Though both of them are consisted of same elementsi.e; hydrogen and oxygen. Only
their energy level differs. Usually the electro magnetic potential difference of elements/compounds
leads to the synthesis of new compounds and flow of energy takes place from higher to lower
electro potential. Thus the energy flow will be at a highest rate under maximum electro potential

The things appear to be different how ever they are yet identical just like a word and its
meaning or like water and the waves on its surface. The only difference there is degree of energy
concentration in waves apparently kinetic energy is more while in water it is in the state of internal
dynamics.
Tulsi firmly expressed that Lord Rama loves poorest the most and believed that continuous
work and chemical reaction (KARMA) is the only basis of dynamism which is consistence in
energy flow and physical work for all worldly affairs. Continuous chemical reaction (Penance)
between reactants is the basis of creation of universe, its protection, sustenance, and feed and of
dissolution. Means the reaction of carbon with other elements gives birth to all lives. Carbon is the
basic source of building and food is a must for survival of life and with its complete oxidation
(CENTRE) the life ends. More reactions lead to more creation. Variety of reactants yield-variety of
resultants.
Nothing is unachievable through penance (continuous reaction), as all the entities create new
worldly matters in animate and inanimate only by penance, protects through it and destruction is
also achieved by penance. This is utilization of atom electron energy combine for the stated

Carbon is found in many different compounds. It is in the food, the clothes, in the cosmetics

Some times even non compatible performs a noble deed in good association. Even

changed. Usually the name and form are the two attributes of energy (God particle) both of them are

form. The aspirants of mysterious ways of providence only can comprehend them through
muttering the various names. The world has four kinds of bases,(Aspirants) all the four of them are
virtuous, sinless and noble. The glory of the bases name is supreme and all the quadravalent carbon,
which is the basis of all living beings of all four yugas and is described in all the four vedas. It is
proclaimed that every minute part of the body(atom) contains multitudes of universes brought forth
by (maya) reaction to maintain each functional cell in the body all the four bases( brothers
Rama,Bharat,Laxmana and Shatrughna) ATGC are required. These bases form body structure; help
in growth feeds and protects yielding immunity to the cell/body. They have several names as are

As stated reaction equals to MAYA where the word M is supported with additional energy
in the form of A This A represents free energy and forms bond M+A+Y+A=MAYA. And this
bond energy is unstable and as and when it comes in contact of other ionic forms prem it
participates in the form and formless creature appears in a form structure. As there is no difference
in the word and its meaning as water and its wave can not be separated.

This is the process of conversion of formless unqualified entity to form shaped qualified
entity because this is the standard mechanism of chemical reaction in which reacting molecules
ionize, there after based on compatibility and bond energy new products are formed or the original
element or compound attains its original state as it was before ionization.
Compared in spiritual world SADHNA is very fluctuating, it is difficult to stabilize, it
needs continuous practice and is said to be SADHE NA.
Similarly the human being first contains some ideas (ionization) then acts (reactions), this
performance is similar to the above phenomenon. Because the source of energy is still unknown,
enough is being discussed about the God particle but in haze as stated in Vedas, no body has been

of them. From the common and single moiety, all the REACTIONS are initiated and by its use

The living being is the resultant (creation) of reactions (Maya) of atom & energy
(Brahma) which is the creator of the whole world living and nonliving (Jad & Chetana). Thus this

The above lines state that God particle is the ornament of the earth. Its strength is
unmeasured is without beginning and unborn (Energy is transformed can not be created can not be
destroyed, the one (without a second), unmanifest and imperceptible, beyond the reach of senses
consciousness, personified, the supporter of the earth death, the Brahma (atom), carbon/ pure, all
pervading, passionless and enraptures the whole animate and inanimate creation. It is at once

It could be understood that indestructible Brahma, (Energy, Electron atom) is the only
entity, who is consciousness itself, who though bereft of all, yet dwells in the body of all. Energy is
beyond the grasp of intellect, mind or speech. When ever virtue declines and vile and haughty
demons multiply and work inexpressible iniquity, the energy-electrons (transcendent) forms and
relieve the distress of the virtuous by bringing complete stability of compounds and state at
environmental scale and preserve the bounds of propriety.

King Dashratha was ruling the state of Ayodhya. Till late age he could not have son to rule
the state after him. He expressed his problem to his mentor Sage Vashistha. Guru Vashistha planned

field sage Shringi. The developmental biology and molecular biochemistry were tried to solve the
problem of in fertilization of queens. Out of the three methods of In Vitro Fertilization i.e., Intra
Uratine insemination, intra -cytoplasmic sperm injection and enhancing receptivity through

The significance of environment was well recognized at the time of Tulsi. The various
environmental aspects have been discussed elaborately; such as biodiversity, bio-indicator, extreme
conditions, pollution control measures, water management, maintenance of water bodies,
devastative impact by loss of plantation such as acid rains and air storms etc.
Knowledge of metrology was well established. It is depicted that with the end of rains, the
special grass called "Kasa grass" with its white flowers are in bloom.
The chakravaka bird is not very active at night. The knowledge of bird behavior was
accurate. Since the night moon relieves the jest of the autumnal sun. Flocks of Chakora Birds fix
their gaze on the moon as soon as it comes to their view. Mosquitoes and gad flies are perished/

Scientific water management plans exist in the script. Description of water bodies reveals
that rivers, ponds lakes and wells were made available appropriately across the habitats. In order to
protect from soil erosion concretized banks were developed. No mud was observed in the river
beds. Also the prevalence of tree gardens, orchards, social forestry and nurseries were developed so
that loose soil could not reach to the water bodies.
In order to maintain the pot ability of water special concrete structures (Ghats) were
constructed for specific purposes. For bathing purpose specially designed ghats were made
separately for males and for females. However, for drinking of cattle separate designated places
were made and the banks of river bed and water bodies had concrete boundaries to avoid the soil
mixing in the water. No soil erosion was allowed.

ceremony and marriage procession of Lord Shiva complete ecosystem and various environment
related illustrations were show.
Usually Lord Shiva the Dean of correction and achiever always protected the nature and

WAR AMUNITION
In places on various occasions the war between Rama and army with demons is presented in
Ramacharitmanasa. At a glance it appears that in the weaponary three kinds of weapons were
used; one like sword which is always in hand called Astra, the second which are used by
throwing away physically or mechanically like jablin and arrows Sastra, while the third one was
like which releases detrimental substances on explosion or on dispersal called Ayudh. Also three
kinds of army, like infantory, horsebulary and air force. In the aerial one also three kinds were
there; one was with gas ballooned, the others were fighter aerial vehicle like Pushpak and the
third variety was of fighter zets. Variety of arrows and grenades, missiles were being used. It
appears that oil bombs of limited capacity, the chemicals of inflammable nature were being

Rama Airways flying saucers
An aerial chariot, the Pushpaka, carried many persons to Ayodhya.
The Vedas, the oldest of all the Indian texts, described Vimanas of various shapes and sizes;
like the ahnihotra-vimana with two engines, the elephantvimana with more engines, and
other types named after the kingfisher, and other birds.

Radiation (heat-energy) was expanded upto a circumference of a hundred and twenty eight
miles by sursa the Hanuman manifested a twice as large as this circumference of radiation (mouth).

FORECASTING
An established forecating system existed which has a place in Rama charitramanas. On
various occassions such system was being used. One of such instances is when lord Shiva
determined not to have physsical relation with sati his wife on account of her appeared as sita in
front of lord Rama. The voice thundred forth to appreciate lord Shiva for his determination /
renonucement. Several of similar examples are cited below which spell the instances and strength
of the forecasting system used by SUR God flocks. When Brahma and other Gods were on the
way to make a request to Lord Rama to resque from Ravana and other demon warriors there was an
aerial thunder voice from lord of lords that he will reincarnate and kill all the demons on the earth.
On a pious occasion when king Manu with his better half Satrupa was meditating for Rama he
heard a thunder voice for him to ask the boon of desire. It was a pleasent moment.

ABOUT THE BOOK
Goswami Tulsi Das has written Ramcharitmanas Mahakavya, a comprehensive book which
is the gist of all the six Shastras, Nigams, Agamas, Puranas and other scientificaly rich spiritual
books, but concentrated on Lord Rama. He was a saint and well wisher of the whole world, thus
opted strongest tool of performance SCIENCE for well being of the globe. His means of
presentation was language of the common people and mode was poietic. So that without stress
reader could read it with joy and the audians could equaly participate and get tremendously
benefitted.
In the very first Shloka of the book Tulsi appreciated Scientists & expressed confidence in
Science. Similarly he ends his book with the Science while mentioning in the last Shloka for being
lucky to deal with Science.
Tulsi has strong belief in science, treating non-living and living equal but assigned very
clear superiority to human. Scientists top on hierarchy among human being indicates his vision.
Very distinctly he spelled the KARMA REACTION, MAYA and denoted it as the vary
basis of all happenings in the world besides its sole contribution in the evolutinary process. Also he
designated Energy as the central single component of worldly affairs in conjunction with different
reactants under various physico-chemical states.
God Particle has been placed very significantly, several names are assigned to it for the vary
purpose of explaining its omniscient and omnipotent nature.
Tulsi Das could successfully establish the GOD PARTICLE, its role in genesis of the globe,
origin of life, relationship between non-living and living by conjugation of energy and carbon,
evolutionary process and supremacy of God Particle as compared to all other living beings.
In furtherence the application of science and technology is explained in detail. In physical
science; RADAR, Missiles, aerial vehicles, drones, sensored arrows, bridge engineering, forecasting
system etc. are described. However, in biological science starting from various aspects of
environment, pollution control, biodiversity, tissus system, cell biology, Mendels law of
inheritance, crossing over, chromosomal hybridization, molecular biology etc. are dealt in brief.

It appears that the vary object set by Tulsi was to establlish RAM RAJ, the stage of
democracy in which no body ever attains the state of sorrow, irrespective of time, its deeds, habits
and attributes.
