I am a flexible, hard working individual that has extensive practice in the school setting as an administrator and resource teacher. I have a broad base of general education knowledge and understand the special education requirements of the Alberta Education Programming. I have many years of experience as a resource teacher with the tasks and responsibilities focused on IPP implementation, Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA), Level B assessments, teacher coaching, consulting and collaboration with school staff and outside professionals, and working directly with students of special needs ranging from mild to severe. Throughout my Masters degree in School and Applied Child Psychology, I have developed practical and theoretical skills to help students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. I have knowledge of many teaching strategies for diverse students and demonstrate an appreciation for parental concern regarding students. My broad background makes me an excellent candidate for a school psychologist position.
