Former State House Representative Bill Heller Endorses Scott Swope Palm Harbor, FL Scott Swope announced today that he has received the endorsement of Former Representative Bill Heller in his quest to become the next Sheriff of Pinellas County. With a resume that includes experience on the street as a Pinellas County deputy, in the courtroom as a lawyer, and on the bench as a magistrate, Scott's well rounded experience within law enforcement and the justice system gives him a world view that we need in the Sheriff's office. It is great to have two good choices; however, in this case due to the qualifications I've mentioned, the best choice is Scott Swope," said Heller. Bill Heller did an excellent job representing his constituents when he served in the State legislature. He was also a major advocate for education, responded Swope. My goal is to leave a legacy at the Sheriffs Office that will be remembered in the same positive manner. Bill is a great guy and I appreciate his endorsement. Scott Swope is the Democratic candidate for Sheriff in the 2012 election. He's running against interim Sheriff and Rick Scott appointee, Bob Gualtieri.
