Preschool-2nd Grade Basketball Clinics

Did you know basketball originated at the YMCA? We have always believed in developing healthy activities focused on team work, sportsmanship and health for our youth. Join us in continuing the tradition. When/Where Preschool(3-4 yr old) and Kindergarten(5-6 yr old): Sunday Clinics Session 1: Nov.11-Dec. 16*(5 weeks) *clinics will not be held Nov. 25 Session 2: Jan. 6-Feb. 3(5 weeks) Preschool: Sundays 1-1:45 pm OR 2-2:45pm Kindergarten: Sundays 3-3:45pm OR 4-4:45pm at Waukee Elementary Thursday Clinics (3-5 yr old): Session 1: Nov. 15- Dec. 13*(4 weeks) *clinics will not be held Nov. 22 Session 2: Jan. 10 Jan. 31(4 weeks) Thursdays at the Waukee Family YMCA, 1-1:45pm 1st-2nd Grade Pre-League Clinic: (co-ed, combined grade levels) November 10-December 15*(5 weeks) *clinics will not be held Nov. 24 Saturdays at Brookview Elementary, 9:00am, 10:00am, 11:00am, OR 12:00pm -beginning the 2nd week, kids will have 20 minutes of practice followed by a 30 minute game Registration Information Registration will begin September 1st and may be done online, at the Welcome Center, or by calling 987-9996. Rates $15/All Sports Jersey(Required to participate) Sunday Pre/Kind and 1st-2nd Grade Clinics $40 Member/$80 Non-Member Thursday Pre/Kind Clinic $30 Member/$60 Non-Member Additional Info: Our basketball clinics are designed to teach each participant the basic fundamentals of basketball. Our coaches will do this through positive interaction focusing on the Y core values of Honesty, Caring, Respect, and Responsibility.
