Page: 50 Title: The permissibility of Dry Ablution Quran: Hadith: Dry ablution (tayammum) was made permissible because

a person is sometimes incapable of using water either because water is not available or because of some sickness that has affected him (due to which he cannot use water). For that reason he performs dry ablution in place of ablution (wudhu), or ritual bath so he is not deprived of those ibaadaat (acts of worship) that are not complete without these two (wudhu, ghusl), like salah, which is the most important act of worship. Tayammum by definition means to make an intention. And According to/ in Shariah: Tayammum is a (type of) earthlike / earth related purification in which you wipe the face and the hands up to the elbow with pure dirt with making an intention
