To study and analyse the Logistics of milk route in TATA MOTORS.

OBJECTIVES OF PROJECT:
To study the supply chain of milk route between Kolhapur and Tata Motors. To minimize the usages and expenses of special vehicles. To analyse the scheduling of milk route between Kolhapur and Tata Motors.

COMPANY PROFILE:
Tata Motors Limited, formerly known as TELCO (TATA Engineering and Locomotive Company), is India's largest passenger automobile and commercial vehicle manufacturing company. It is part of the Tata Group. Tata Motors plant at Pune started its operation in 1965 and has gradually blossomed out into a sophisticated, large plant with an enviable record in achievements.


The company's manufacturing base in India is spread across Jamshedpur (Jharkhand), Pune (Maharashtra), Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), Pantnagar (Uttarakhand), Sanand (Gujarat) and Dharwad (Karnataka).

DATA COLLECTION:

The Data was mainly collected by having conversation with the employees of MPL Department in Tata Motors. The Data was collected with the help of logistic provider of Tata Motors ltd. Chintu Transport. The vendors in Kolhapur were also helpful in giving the data.

Total expense on LCV: 1138 x 5133= Rs 58,41,354/ Total expense on MCV: 54 x 10592 = Rs 5,71,968/-

Overall Expenses: Rs 64,13,322/-
