Associated Student Government University of Arkansas ASG Senate Bill No. 3 Authors: Matthew Seubert, Senator Cathryn Fleener Sponsor: Senator Cathryn Fleener Motor Voter Appropriation Bill Whereas, Student voting rates are far too low both at the University of Arkansas and nationally; and, The lack of a campus polling station, increasingly spread out off campus populations, and multiple districts create difficulty and confusion for locally registered student voters; and, Multiple precinct locations and unfamiliar polling places discourage students from voting; and The University of Arkansas Associated Student Government Senate shall direct funds amounting to $810 from Allocations towards the conduct and promotion of a Motor Voter campaign; and Funds shall be used to purchase use of the Safe Ride buses to serve as transportation to and from the Washington County Courthouse during early voting on October 31st and November 1st; and Any unused funds be returned in full to the ASG Senate to reallocate.
