Our visit to the RTP Coimbra

The trainees of the training course “Installation and Maintenance of

Computer Systems” went to the facilities of RTP Coimbra.
On the 11th of December, they left the center Casa Nossa Senhora do
Rosário to catch the train, which left the station at eighteen past eleven.
Then the group arrived to Coimbra, and caught the bus to Celas, which is
near the facilities of RTP.
As soon as they arrived to Celas, they looked for a nearby restaurant to
have lunch.
After lunch, the group went to the TV station and they were received by the
Director for RTP Center.
The Director’s name is Sansão Coelho, and he made an introduction about
the history of the evolution of the Mass Media.
After the introduction, they visited the first studio of radio transmission.
Then the group asked some questions about the Mass Media, and Mr Coelho
explained how to make a live transmission (radio and TV) from RTP Coimbra
to the rest of the country.
Next, Mr Coelho showed them the rooms where the news were edited, and
then they went to the régie, the place where everything happens…
For the group this experience was most interesting, very nice and over
whelming.
The group walk´s out of this experience with a most knowledge, thanks’ to
the opportunity given by Casa Nossa Senhora do Rosário.
