I have always been in interested in how the brain functions and how its processes
affect our everyday life. To educate myself in this subject, I earned a degree in
cell and molecular genetics, the atom of biology. Now, I would like to bring my
knowledge in this field to reach out to higher goals by combining it with “design
and technology”.

I intend to sculpt my knowledge in science with the education I will be acquiring

at Parsons to join the initiative of designing products to raise awareness in public
health, to improve the efficiency of educational tools used in teaching science and
to boost the speed of medical research by improving the design of biotechnologi-
cal instruments and their application methods.
I have been trained to think analytically, creatively and to the point throughout
my undergraduate education. I have had opportunities to practice my learnings
and skills in research studies I have directly been involved in. This experience and
knowledge, I find critical for the type of work I would like to achieve during my
education in Parsons. I am excited by the idea of this fusion and the endless pos-
sibilities of products and experiences I could design.

I am extremely impressed by all the feedback that I have so far gotten about
Parsons from Alumni, and by the variety of student work I have been exposed
to. This gives me a lot of motivation and excitement towards earning an MFA in
Communication Design and Technology.
I believe I will be in the best environment for the sort of intellectual stimulation
and structure I need to grow my projects and to advance in my career path.

Visual Cortex Morning Glory Leaving the Uterus Perception

“ Visual Cortex “

Here, I explored the connection between the sense of sight and the sense of touch and the response of the visual cortex to this conjunction.
This was established through the process of drawing by only looking at the object. The progression between each individual piece reflects
the acceleration and build of muscular memory at a micro scale.

“ Morning Glory “

The moment of waking is highly instinc-

tual thus reveals the animal-like nature in
humans.

This is an ongoing series of photographs

where I visited and surprised friends and
family to reveal their involontary behav-
iors, results of premature reflexes from
awakening, to take off their social masks.

“ Perception “

In this project I tried to explore different ways of communicating only one idea by using different media and tested the levels of perception.

“ Leaving The Uterus (E12.5) “

In this project I observed immunochemically treated

mice embryos of age 8.5 and 12.5 days that were ge-
netically altered to express certain proteins.

I tried to capture birth and disassociation from

the maternal environment at a macro level.

“ Uneasy“

This serie explores the uneasiness of people when threatened by the camera and different reactions or mechanisms they use
to hide or fight it off. Some just hold still, some overpose, some already think about changing their profile picture and some
just can’t hide that they don’t want to be photographed.
