P-4 Explain the advantages of collaborating with other teachers.

Working together. Collaboration between teachers can be a great learning experience and provide a host of new information. Benefits of collaboration: -Decrease in teacher isolation and more of a feeling of value and support -Understanding and sensitivity to the responsibilities and roles of other teachers -The opportunity to experience the students different strengths within different environments -The chance to learn new teaching practices/methods -Gaining more energy and gain a greater enjoyment from teaching due to shared ownership of student learning -Instruction is more flexible and more creative -Students will have a positive example of collaboration to model after There are many other benefits of working together and the list could go on. I feel these are some of the most beneficial aspects of collaborating and learning from each other.
