Associated Student Government University of Arkansas ASG Senate Bill No. 13 Author: Senator Rachel Freeman Sponsor: Senator Rachel Freeman A Bill to Furnish the Hillside Auditorium Terrace with Caf Furniture Whereas, The University is opening the upper oval-shaped terrace of the new Hillside Auditorium in January; and The terrace will be an excellent place to view the scenery of our campus and the Chi Omega Greek Theater, but due to budget constraints with Facilities Management they have had to remove all of the outdoor caf furniture from the terrace project; and Further developing the terrace with furniture will complement the already existing green space, namely the green, grass roofs of the auditorium, the terrace shade trees, and the lawn surrounding the Greek Theater; then ASG recognizes the opportunity to better the outdoor community at the Hillside Auditorium and will purchase 4 tables (24 in. at $510 each) and 8 chairs ($180 each) costing $3,480 (excludes handling fees from the UA warehouse) in cooperation with Facilities Management; and Plaques shall be placed on (or one near) the tables saying Donated by ASG Senate to recognize this bodys involvement; and To account for handling fees, we will allocate $4,000 to this project. Any remaining balance from the appropriated funds shall be returned in full to the Senate allocations account.
