Abstract: On this website, it explains the first-hand details of when Ross Barnett would not allow an African American to be admitted into a university. As well, he defied the orders of the Supreme Court. He believed that it was a state matter only. Abstract: Morrow had some doubt about being a staff member in the White House because he was an African American and the first one if I might add. As a result, the President never really brought up any conversation and discussions about civil rights and inequality. As a result, the public resented Morrow in turn because there was no talk of equality. However, the other staff members usually pushed Morrows ideas to the side. And all people should be allowed to purse freedom as well as any job they are qualified for. The revolution is a serious one. Because of their courage, will, and determination, they will not stop. This is definitely a profound beginning for the battle of civil rights, and that beginning is freedom.

Abstract: This basically describes the life story of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. He led the civil rights movement. He also gave his most inspiring speech at the March of Washington, which was entitled I Have a Dream. It also talks about his battle for civil rights and his later life. Abstract: With this one, it describes a court case pertaining to allowing African Americans into public schools and facilities where white-colored people were allowed in. Linda Brown was denied access into a local school in Topeka, so it went to court. As a result, this was ruled unconstitutional, and she won the case, which allowed her to be admitted into the school. Abstract: Rosa Parks was an inspirational woman who defied the law and refused to give up her seat for a white man. As a result, she was arrested. This sparked an outburst within the African American community. However, after about a year of protests, the Supreme Court finally deemed bus segregation unconstitutional. In 1999, she was awarded the Congressional Gold Medal, a prestigious award, which is of the highest honor any person could receive within the United States of America.

Abstract: A Muslim woman was treated as a terrorist-like figure in a bank. She was asked to be escorted to a teller by a security guard because she was wearing a religious veil. Abstract: This civil suit was because Instagram was going to allegedly sell its users photographs without compensation. If someone deleted their account, they would be forfeiting all rights to their previous photos, and Instagram would be allowed to use them at their own free will. However, it was eventually abolished thanks to President Abraham Lincoln. Unfortunately, this wasnt the end of it. Abstract: President Lyndon B. Johnson signs the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which promotes equality within the United States to all its legal citizens, and race and color cannot be looked badly at. Abstract: In this one, it discusses the impact our social media has caused with racism. When President Obama was elected, many people including college students expressed their shock and anger on Facebook and Twitter.
