ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
FINALLY WE HAVE DONE OUR PRESENTATION COMLETELY, AND WANT TO GIVE THANKS TO ALMIGHTY ALLAH. THANKS TO OUR HONARABLE COURSE TEACHER MR. SANWAR RASHID FOR HIS HELP AND SUPPORT. OUR ALL MEMBERS IN THE GROUP WERE VERY MUCH ATTENTIVE ABOUT IT WITH FOLLOWING CATEGORIES.

With all harvesting methods, however, the cotton seed, together with the fibers, always gets into the ginning plant where it is broken up into trash and seed-coat fragments. This means that ginned cotton is always contaminated with trash and dust particles and that an intensive cleaning is only possible in the spinning mill. Nep content increases drastically with mechanical harvesting, ginning and subsequent cleaning process. The reduction of the trash content which is necessary for improving cotton grade and apperance unfortunately results in a higher nep content level. These processes are performed in Spinning section, specially in Blow room.

Blow room is the initial stage in spinning process. The name blow room is given because of the air f low And all process is done in blow room because of air f low. Blow room is consisting of different machines to carry out the objectives of blow room. In blow room the tuft size of cotton becomes smaller and smaller. Mixing of cotton is done separately as well as in blow room. Compressed layer of bale is also open in blow room with the help of machine.

Following are the basic operation or objectives of blow room Opening Cleaning Mixing or blending Micro dust removal To extract the contamination in the cotton such as leaf, stone, iron particles, jute, poly propylene, colored fibers, feather and other foreign material from cotton by opening and beating. To uniform feeding to the next stage such as carding machine Recycling the waste material

Factors affecting on opening, cleaning and fiber loss.

1. Type of opening device 2. Speed of opening device 3 .Size of flocks in the feed 4.Thickness of feed web
5.Density of feed web 6.Degree of penetration 7.Fiber coherence

8.Fiber alignment
9. Distance between feed and opening device 10. Through put speed of materials
11. Type of grid baretc

Opening in blow room means opening the cotton in small

pieces. That is the specific density of material is reduced.

A lot of impurities and contamination are eliminated at

the start of the process. As much opening of cotton will be more, cleaning result will be more acceptable. But this cleaning of cotton is done on the basis of high fiber loss. High roller speed gives more better cleaning effect but also more stress on fiber.
Cleaning efficiency of cotton is depending upon trash

Percentage. It is necessary to control the temperature inside the department, when use stickiness cotton..etc.

Rieter is an industrial group based in Winterthur, Switzerland, and operating on a global scale. Formed in 1795, the company is a leading supplier of short-staple spinning machinery and technology components, and has the widest product range in this industrial sector worldwide. Rieter has a presence in 9 countries with 18 manufacturing facilities and a worldwide workforce of about 4 500 employees, some 26% of whom are based in Switzerland.

Advantages of rieter blowroom line:

7. The certainty of success 1. Efficient progress from bale to sliver

6. Everything under control

2. Carefully coordinated processes

5. Efficient recycling 4. Uniform distribution, precise feeding

The foundations for yarn quality and thus the quality of the textile end product are laid in the blowroom process. This is the basis of the successful use of Rieters UNIfloc A 11 automatic bale opener worldwide. The UNIfloc A 11 processes the fiber material gently and efficiently into microtufts, from which impurities can be removed very readily in the subsequent processes. This effectively supports the quality and economic efficiency of yarn manufacture

Economy The UNIfloc is designed for output of up to 1 400 kg/h (carded sliver). Bales are laid down over a length of 7.2 to 47.2 meters. Automatic bale profiling eliminates laborintensive manual alignment of the bales. Flexibility The UNIfloc can process up to 4 assortments simultaneously. The width of the take-off unit can be selected between 1 700 and 2 300 mm. Cottons of all origins and man-made fibers up to a staple length of 65 mm are processed. Quality Opening bales into microtufts provides the basis for effective cleaning and dedusting by subsequent machines. The double tooth profile ensures gentle extraction of the tufts irrespective of the direction of rotation of the take-off roller. Automatic bale profiling enables quality consistency to be maintained in subsequent cleaning processes

The UNIclean B 12 is an effi cient cleaning and dust extracting machine which is used directly downstream from the bale opening. Cotton and other natural fi bers such as fl ax can be cleaned and freed from dust. Feeding of the card room is guaranteed for a total of 1 400 kg/h card sliver production.

The B 72 / B 76 mixing machine guarantees homogeneous, intimate mixing of the bale feed in a minimum of space, even with unfavorable bale lay-down. The unique 3-point mixing process is equally suitable for cotton and man-made fibers. Eight mixing chambers ensure not only effective mixing, but also high production performance. The large storage volume of the UNImix provides the ideal preconditions for a high degree of operating autonomy in the blowroom.

Economy The production volume of 800 kg/h (B 72) or 1 200 kg/h (B 76) results in an excellent price/performance ratio with comparably low space requirements. The large storage capacity ensures regular feeding of the downstream blowroom machines and is the precondition for the production of quality yarn without personnel intervention.

Quality The unique 3-point mixing principle with 8 mixing chambers produces a good, permanently homogeneous fiber mix. This is the precondition for consistently high yarn quality. Tuft size can be adjusted at the mixing roller in coordination with raw material and application; optimal opening and homogeneous feed to the subsequent process are thus guaranteed.

Flexibility The easy addition of an opening or cleaner module provides flexibility with the capability to respond to changes in market conditions. The ability to process cotton, blends and manmade fibers means that there are no limitations when processing different raw materials. Bypass facility for the cleaner module (e.g. with man-made fibers) for rapid mix change

Blow room machinery lay out should be desined in such a way that there should be minimum number of bends, and there should not be sharp bends to avoid fibre entanglements. Fibre travelling surface should be smooth and clean.Temperature should be around 30 degrees and the humidity is around 55 to 60%. But enough care should be taken to synchronise the machines for better performace , and to run the line without any electrical system breakdowns.
