Just as snow can slow down normal activities in the States, we are learning that in Surigao City, the rainy season is far more impacting than it ever was when we were in Ozamiz. The roof of the building we are renting for church services was leaking very badly. We had several services that were hindered by efforts to adjust buckets and containers to catch the drips. Fortunately, the owner of the building made the necessary repairs, so for now we are, hopefully, all set. Our church attendance is averaging around 40, with about half of that number being children. Please pray with us as we make some adjustments in our childrens ministry and discipleship programs. One day while visiting we stepped inside of a boarding house. The door to one room near the entrance was propped open. I saw what I thought was an older man slumped over a table sound asleep. It turned out to be a very sick young woman, only 19 years old. Her hair had fallen out and she was truly little more than a skeleton covered with skin. While presenting the Gospel to her she listened attentively, but I wasnt sure what she was thinking. She seemed to be very afraid and very sad. She did pray the sinners prayer with me, but our conversation afterward made me doubt her understanding of the gospel. She told us that her illness was because she was possessed by an evil spirit. After that we talked for quite a long time about the Holy Spirit. Though she seemed to agree with everything I said, she never smiled or seemed comforted by what I told her. I left that day very saddened by the cruelty of false beliefs. I feared that, because of her health, we did not have enough time to help her understand the hope that only God can give. How I rejoice that I was totally wrong! The next week at a second visit we reviewed the plan of salvation again. She was feeling a little stronger that day and asked several questions before admitting that she had not understood the week before. This time after she prayed, she looked up and smiled. Before we left I asked her about the evil spirit. She actually laughed and said, No, no,Jesus is in here, as she pointed to her heart. The next day we were shocked to see her in church! We prayed in the service that God would restore her health, and in His own way, He did just that. She died a few weeks later. What a great honor it is to be used by the Lord to help people get to heaven! Thank you for your prayers, Sincerely, The

Tevaults

They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. Luke 5:31-32
