Practice 20 Chapter 2

I am going to write about the topic “My Dad is My Hero”.

My classmates are my audience.

My purpose is to let the readers know why I think my father is the greatest

man on earth.

My dad Richard is the greatest dad in the world.

A. My father is gentle and kind.

1. He always speaks in a calm voice, even when he is “yelling” at me.

2. He always listens to me when I need to talk, even when if he does

not agree with what I am saying.

3. My father loves to hold his great grandson and rock him to sleep; he

even changes poopy diapers with a smile.

B. My father has high standards and sets a very good example for his

children all five of us.

 1. My father believes in God and his son Jesus and he goes to church

every Sunday.

2. I have never, in 43 years, heard my father say a bad word.

3. I have never heard my father gossip about other people.

4. He does not drink or smoke and hardly ever eats junk food.

C. My father believes that being a daddy is important.

1. He has always been there for me even when I did not deserve it.

2. My dad gives me hugs when I need them, and tells me he loves me.

3. My dad tells me that he is proud of me.

4. My daddy adopted me when I was 5, and took care of me like his

own.
