The Zikr and Dua of Shaykh Abdul Qadir Jilani

The Qadiriyya tariqa is one of Zikrullah, remembrance of Allah. The plural of zikr is azkaar. The azkaar and dua (supplications) of Shaykh Abdul Qadir Jilani Rady Allahu Anhu have been compiled in many kutub (books), one of which is al-Fuyudhaat ur Rabbaniyya (Emanations of Lorldly Grace). It gives the invocations and supplications of Shaykh Abdul Qadir Jilani to be recited after every salah (regular obligatory prayer), for each day of the week, as well as for various special occasions. The zikr mainly consists of the recitation of the Kalima Shahada (Declaration of Faith), Asma ul Husna (the Most Beautiful Names of Allah) and of salawaat (invocation of blessings on the beloved Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him). One of the voluntary zikr recommended to be recited individually after every salah (regular obligatory prayer) is as follows: After Fajr: Yaa Azizu Yaa Allah (100 times) (O The Mighty, O Allah) After Zuhr: Yaa Karimu Yaa Allah (100 times) (O The Generous, O Allah) After Asr: Yaa Jabbaru Yaa Allah (100 times) (O The Compeller, O Allah) After Maghrib: Yaa Sattaru Yaa Allah (100 times) (O The Concealer of faults, O Allah) After Isha: Yaa Ghaffaru Yaa Allah (100 times) (O The Forgiver, O Allah) A short article such as this one cannot explain in any detail all the invocations and supplications of the Shaykh. But we can perhaps benefit from reciting at least one of his dua (supplications). His dua entitled Dua ul Jalalah (The Majestic Supplication) is so rich and rewarding that many mashaayikh choose to include it in their kutub (books), among them being Imam Muhammad ibn Alawi al-Maliki al-Hasani of Makka who has included it in his Duru ul Wiqaya bi Ahzaabil Himaaya (Armours of Protection For Security Forces, p. 58). Bismillah ir Rahman ir Rahim Allahumma inni asaluka bi-Sirri-dh-Dhaati wa bi-Dhaat-is-Sirri Huwa Anta wa Anta Huwa ihtajabtu bi-Nurillah wa bi-Nuri Arshillah wa bi-kulli Ismillah min aduwwee wa aduwwillah bi maaati alfi Laa hawla walaa quwwata illaa Billah

khatamtu alaa nafsi wa alaa ahli wa alaa kulli shay-in Ataaneehi Rabbi bi-Khaatamillahil maneeilladhi khatama bihi aqtaar-as-samaawaati wal ard, wa Hasbunallahu wa Nimal Wakil Nimal Mawlaa wa Niman Naseer Wa laa hawla walaa quwwata illaa Billahil Aliyyil Azim wa Sallallahu alaa Sayyidina Muhammad-in wa alaa aalihi wa sahbihi wa sallama ajmaeen. Aameen In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. (1:1) O Allah! I ask of You for the sake of the Mystery of the Essence and for the sake of the Essence of the Mystery, both the Essence and the Mystery being Yours, that may I be protected by the Sacred Light of Allah, by the Light of the Throne of Allah and by all the Names of Allah from my enemies and from all the devils (enemies of Allah), (I supplicate to You O Allah) with a hundred thousand times recitation of (this glorification of Yours): There is no strength nor power except with Allah. I have sealed myself and my family and all the things that my Lord has given me, with the impregnable seal of Allah with which He has sealed all the regions of the heavens and the earth, and Allah is sufficient for us and what an excellent Trustee is He. (3:173) What an Excellent Patron and what an Excellent Helper. (8:40) And there is no strength nor power except with Allah, the Exalted, the Almighty. And may Allah bestow blessings and peace on our master Sayyidina Muhammad, on his family and all his companions, Aameen. Such was the spiritual status of Shaykh Abdul Qadir Jilani that in response to his dua (supplication), Allah would turn a shaqiy (unfortunate person) into a said (someone destined for salvation). Indeed he has so spiritually transformed the lives of so many Muslims in such significant ways that they never forget to mention him in their dua (supplications to Allah). May Allah, the Glorified and the Exalted make us benefit from him, Aameen. Yaa Hayyu Yaa Hayyu Yaa Qayyum Yaa Hayyu Yaa Hayyu Yaa Qayyum

Imam Al-Ghazali's Ihya' 'Ulum Al-Deen

He Encourages Zikr Imam al-Ghazali explains that the heart has two doors: one opens to this world and the other to the 'aalamal malakut, that is, the heavenly world of the angels, the 'Arsh (Allah's Throne) and Lawh Mahfuz (The Preserved Tablet). The recitation of zikr in abundance erases sins and opens the second door to the 'aalamal malakut. To achieve this, Imam alGhazali exhorts us to do zikr (remember Allah) continuously. Zikr has to be done with such abundance that first it abides on our tongues and then in our hearts. The final stage is reached when the zikr becomes engraved in the heart with its meanings. Two whole books of the Ihya' are devoted to this purpose. These are full of azkaar (supplications) and awraad (regular voluntary invocations). One such suffices as a ni'mal hadiyyah (splendid gift) from him. (Ihya', Vol I, Book 10, p. 397). Imam al-Ghazali narrates that Khidhr 'alayhissalam received these as a gift from Rasulullah Sallallahu 'alaihi wa Sallam himself, then taught them to Ibrahim al-Taimi in front of the Ka'ba, and recommended their recitation seven times each before sunrise and sunset. Hence, they are called Musabba'atul 'Ashr (Ten invocations recited seven times each). No wonder Mawlana al-Haddad Rady Allahu 'Anhu made it the concluding part of his great Wird alKabir. They are: 1. Surah al-Fateha 2. Surah an-Naas 3. Surah al-Falaq 4. Surah Ikhlaas 5. Surah al-Kaafirun 6. Ayatul Kursi 7.Sub ' hanAllah Wa ' l Hamdu Lillah Wala Ilaha Illallahu Wallahu Akbar Wala Hawla Wala Quwwata Illa Billahi ' l 'Aliyyil 'Azeem Glory be to Allah, and all Praise is for Allah, and no one is worthy of worship but Allah, and Allah is Great, and there is no might or power except with (the help of) Allah, the Most High, the Incomparably Great. 8. Allahumma Salli 'alaa Muhammad-in-Nabiyy-il Ummiyyi Wa 'alaa Aalihi wa Sahbihi wa Sallim

O Allah! Bestow blessings and peace on Sayyidina Muhammad, the Prophet not taught by any human (but directly by You, O Allah) and bestow peace and blessings as well on his family and companions. 9. Astaghfirullaha lee wali waaalidayya wa li'l

mu'mineena wa'l mu'minaat Wa'l muslimeena wa'l muslimaat Al-ahyaa-i minhum wa'l amwaat Innaka Sami'un Qareebun Mujibudda'waat
O Allah! Forgive me and my parents, and all believing men and believing women, and all Muslim men and Muslim women, from among those that are alive and those that have passed away. Truly, You are the Hearer, the Near One, the Acceptor of supplications. 10. Allahumma f'al bee wa bihim 'Aajilan wa aajilan fiddunya wa'l Aakhirah Maa Anta Lahu Ahlun Walaa taf'al binaa Yaa Mawlana Maa nahnu lahu ahlun Innaka Ghafur-ur-Rahim Jawwadun Kareem Raufun Rahim O Allah! give me and them Now and in the future, here and in the Hereafter What you have And don't give us Our Lord What we (sinners) deserve Truly, you are Forgiving, Merciful, Generous, Bountiful, Most Kind, Merciful. He also gives selected invocations of the Holy Prophet Sayyidina Muhammad Sallallahu 'alaihi wa Sallam, of Sayyidina Nabi Adam, Sayyidina Nabi Ibrahim, and Sayyidina Nabi 'Isa 'Alayhimussalam, and of Sayyidina Abubakr, Sayyidina 'Ali, Sayyidatina Fatima, and mother of faithful believers, Sayyidatina 'Aisha, among others, Rady Allahu 'Anhum. Hasbunallahu wa ni ' mal Wakeel Allah is Sufficient for us and (He is) the most excellent Trustee (3:173)

Dua 2

Ya wahabbu - O Bestower read it 1000 times After the Isha Salah After the Fard of Isha Salah and between the 2 sunnah of Isha Salah and witr 1st Any Darood/Salawat ala rasul 11 times Then read Ya wahabbu - O Bestower 1000 times Close with Any Darood/Salawat ala rasul 11 times Some extra Notes from the 99 name of Allah: 16. Al-Wahhab, the Bestower, The Donor,The Most Liberal Bestower, The Great Giver, The Giver of Gifts The Bestower. He who constantly bestows blessings of every kind. The Giver Of All Things, The One who is Generous in giving plenty without any return. YA WAHHABU: O Bestower! If you repeat this seven times after making a supplication, your plea will be accepted. If one has a particular wish, or is held captive by an enemy, or finds it hard to make ends meet, one should invoke this Name one hundred times after midnight on three or seven nights (following ablution and a ritual prayer of two cycles). Allah will then grant whatever one needs. A poverty-stricken person should say this Ism constantly: or write it and keep it on him (as a taweez) or say it 40 times in the last sajdah of salatDuha (Chast in urdu ):... Insha-Allah he will be freed from poverty in an

unexpected and amazing manner. For a particular need to be fulfilled, observe sajdah thrice in the courtyard of the house or majid and then lift the hands (as in Dua) and say this Ism 100 times: If Allah wills, the need will be fulfilled. If a person really wants somethig so he should do three sajda's in his house's yard and raise his hands and read this name 100 times God will give him his desired need. The One who continually bestows gifts, favors and blessings upon all of creation. The One who is the most generous and liberal giver. The One who gives freely and endlessly, without expectation of any return. From the root w-h-b which has the following classical Arabic connotations: to give for no compensation, to give as a gift to donate, to offer as a present, bestow to give liberally and freely to grant, endow to cause something to be. This name is used in the Qur'un. For example, see 3:8 With regard to mankind's role in giving, Abu Hamid al-Ghazaili notes that: Whoever bestows gifts with an eye to some interest to be realized by it sooner or later, be it appreciation, affection or release from blame, or or acquiring distinction of mention - he is neither a giver nor generous, but rather engaged in transaction and recompense. ... But the one who sacrifices all he owns, even his life, for the sake of God alone - such a one is worthy of being named giver and generous.

Dua 3 After Isha Salah read "Ya musabi-bal asbab" 500 times ( O Originator of Causes or Causer of causes! ) 1st Any Darood/Salawat ala rasul - 11 times 2nd Ya musabi-bal asbabi -500 minimum to 1000 times 3rd Close with Any Darood/Salawat ala rasul 11 times But the condition is that you must read it outside with nothing on your head.

Ya Muqallib al-Qulub - O mover of hearts, Just some beautiful duas with the words muqallib al-qulub, one of the names we as muslims can call upon Allah with : - Ya muqallib al-qulub, thabbit qalbi ala dinik O mover (or flip-flopper) of hearts, make my heart firm upon your religion - Ya muqallib al-qulub, thabbit alal-haqq O mover of hearts, make my heart firm upon the truth - Ya muqallib al-qulub, thabbit qalbi ala taatik O mover of hearts, make my heart firm upon your obedience - Ya musarrif al-qulub, thabbit qalbi ala taatik O director of hearts, keep my heart in a state of obedience to you - Ya muqallib al-qulub wa l-ahwalhawwil halina ila ahsan l-hal O you, transformer of hearts and spiritual states make our states the loveliest of states - Allahumma, ya muqallib al-qulub wal-absar, thabbit qalbi ala dinik O Allah, O controller of the hearts and eyes, let my heart hold fast onto your religion Allahuma Ya Musabbib al-Asbab, Ya Mufattih al-Abwab, Ya Muqallib al-qulubi wal-absar, Ya Dalil al-mutahayyirin, Ya Ghiyath al-mustaghathin, Ya Hayyu, Ya Qayyum, Ya Dhul-Jalali wa-l-Ikram! Wa ufawwidu amri il-Allah, inn-Allaha basirun bil-ibad O Allah, o causer of causes, o opener of doors, o transformer of hearts and eyes, o guide of the stupefied ones, o redresser of complainants, o living, o eternal, o majestic an venerable. Allah is the one who controls the hearts of people. Remember the hadith in Sahih Muslim that Allah doesnt look at your bodies and appearances but rather at your hearts (and your acts). In the Quran it is said that only the ones with a clean heart (bi qalbin salim) will be accepted by Allah. Oh Allah clean our hearts and deeds from hypocrisy and make us better people.

Sayidu-Al 'Istighfr
The Prophet Muhammad has taught us many words of repentance and it is good if we learn, understand, and use them. Of these one has been mentioned as Sayidu-Al 'Istighfr. A hadith explains its extra ordinary significance: "If a believer says this with complete faith and sincerity in the morning and dies before that evening, he will enter paradise. If he says it during the night and dies before the morning, he will enter paradise."

O Allah! You are my Lord. There is no God except You. You created me and I am Your slave. To the best of my ability, I will abide by my covenant and pledge to You. I seek Your protection from the evil of my own creation.

Al-Lahumma 'Anta Rabb L 'Ilha 'Ill 'Anta Khalaqtan Wa 'An `Abduka Wa 'An `Ala `Ahdika Wa Wa`dika M Astaa`tu 'A`dhu Bika Min Sharri M ana`tu

I acknowledge Your favors to me and 'Ab'u Laka Bini`matika `Alayya Wa 'Ab'u Laka Bidhanb I admit my sins. So please forgive me for no one can forgive sins except You. Fghfir L, 'Innahu L Yaghfiru Adh-Dhunba 'Ill 'Anta

This powerful du`a' is our daily pledge of allegiance. We will do well to memorize it in Arabic and never let a day or night go by without saying it with full consciousness

RULES OF READING WAZAIF

Before you start reading a wazifa please read the following rules. 1- The reason for which you are doing a wazifa is correct and according to shariat. 2- You must read the wording with correct pronunciation. 3- 5 times salah is compulsory for any wazifa to work. Dont expect Allah to grant you your wish while you blatantly disobey his orders. 4- Your income must be halal. Even if there is one Pound/Dollar/Lira of haram income no dua, wazifa or ibadat will work. 5- The time and place must be the same every day. If there is an emergency and you have to go to another place then take your musalla/prayer mat/ sajjade on which you read your wazifa with you. 6- You must be in wudu while you read a wazifa. Your clothes and body must be clean. 7- Men and women both must dress up in an Islamic way during the wazifa. I mean at least during the duration of the wazifa. 8- While reading a wazifa you must be alone in a room. 9- While reading a wazifa you cannot talk to anyone even by gestures and no one should disturb you or divert your attention. That means keep your mobile phones off. 10- For men please do not shave during the duration of the wazifa. Shaving is breaking the sunnah of the Prophet and is deemed as a sin.

11- While reading a wazife please use an ittar or a non alcoholic perfume. 12- If you are doing a wazifa to see the result in your dream, you should sleep on the floor on a clean bed. Also you must sleep in the same position as the Prophet Muhammad (sallal la ho alaihi wa aalihi wa sallim) used to sleep. 13- At least during the duration of the wazifa do not lie or do back bitting (gheybat) at all. 14- BEFORE YOU START A WAZIFA PLEASE ALWAYS DO A 2 RAKAT TOBAH SALAH AND DO A TOBAH. 15- IF YOU READ THE WAZIFE NEXT TO THE GRAVE OF A PROPHET, SAHABI, AULIA ALLAH, SHAHEED OR A SALIH PERSON, THE WAZIFA WILL WORK LIKE A BULLET. THATS GURANTEED. 16- Once you have started a wazifa please do not leave it in the middle or get dishearted. If you nafs tells you that it wont work dont listen to him and continue. 17- If the wazifa does not work in the stated time period please continue it until you get what you want from Allah. 18- THE ACCEPTANCE OF DUA DEPENDS UPON YOUR TAQWA. THE TIME PERIOD IS DIFFERENT FOR EACH PERSON. 19- LAST BUT NOT LEAST ANYONE NOT BELIEVING IN THE AULIA ALLAH SHOULD FORGET ABOUT DOING ANY WAZIFA. HE WILL NOT GET ANYTHING SINCE ALL PRAYERS ARE APPROVED BY THE LOCAL WALI ALLAH AND THEN THE KUTUB OF THAT AREA AND THEN THE GHAUS OF THE TIME AND THEN BY SAYYIDINA SHEYKH ABDUL QADIR JILANI (Rahmatullah aleyh)

TO SEE ALLAH IN DREAM

Imam hanbal (Rehmatullah alaih) saw Allah 199 times in his dream. He asked 199 times the same question from Allah. If anyone wants to see Allah in his dream what should he do? Allah gave the same answer 199 times. "He should do chast salah..(salah which you read once the sun has come up ..usually around 10 11am) and read this dua 13 times at chast salah and keep on doing it. Here is the dua:

"Bismillah hirrahma nirrahim.Allah huma safferid dunya be aa yo nena va azzim jalalaka fi kulube na. Allah humme vaf fikna le mer daate ka va sab bitna ala diineka va taa ate ka"

TO MAKE YOUR TONGUE SWORD OF ALLAH

If u want that whatever you say from your mouth should happen meaning to make your tongue a sword of Allah. Read "Ya Vahhab-o"..Allahs name 1.2 million times in a time period you decide. Meaning 1,200,000 times. It is not difficult to do aswell. To read Ya vahhabo 1000 times takes 10 minutes.

Once you have done that whatever you say will happen immediately. This Is the name of Allah which Prophet Suleiman (Alai his salam) used to read. After finishing the vazifa you must read ya vahhabo 46 times after every salah to keep it working.

TO SEE ALL THE SKIES

There are 7 skies above us according to Quran and above them is Arsh. Which is also divided into different parts. Above which is Allah. If you want to be able to see all the skies (but not arsh) when ever you want then its a big wazifa. It is not easy since you are not asking for an easy thing. In 40 days read complete Surah Takasur (Quran Chap 30) for 125,000 times. you decide how many times a day you want to read it but it must be done in 40 days.Thats all. Who so ever will do it. Allah will open all skies for him. He will see everything with open eyes.

TO PROTECT ONES FAMILY

Nothing will happen to anyone in this hisar (Hisar means to encircle) except death. Do this to your house especially your children and your family. Every night Darood/Selavat 1 time Surah Fatiha 1 time Ayetal Kursi 1 time 4 kul (Surah Ikhlas, kafiroon, falak , Nas) 1 time each Darood/salavat 1 time Then in your imagination make a circle around everything you want to protect. Your children, house, family etccomplete the circle in your imagination. Everybody and everything in that circle will remain in Allahs protection for one day. The day you will have any problem you will realize that you forgot to do the hisar that day. If this hisar is done around a dead person Allah will stop the azab for one day as well.

RICH
Did you ever want to become rich?. Well here is the wazifa. Who so ever will do it will become rich. After Esha Salah read "Ya musabe bal asbabe" 500 times. Darood/Salawat 11 times before and after the wazifa. But the condition is that you must read it outside with nothing on your head. No cap no scarf no Hijab no tree no shade no roof. This vazife is considered to be ikseer for rizk. Within days you will become rich. Warning: Asking Allah for money you don't need is very dangerous. You can loose your iman as more money than you need can lead to temptations. Instead of asking for more money you should use the dua of our beloved Prophet (Sallal laho alihey wa aalehi wasaalam) which I wrote here. You can find it in all books. Please use the Arabic version for correct pronunciation. "Allahumma Akfeni be halale ka un harameka wa aghneni be fadleka am man sivak"

2
If you are poor and have very little money please do the following regularly. Insallah you will become rich. Condition is that you do not miss any day. After Esha salah every night read Darood/Salavat 11 times Surah Muzammal 11 times While reading Surah Muzammal Everytime when u reach this ayet..fatta khuz ho vakila. after reading this whole ayet Read Has bo nalla ho va naemal vakeel ..20 times This has to be done each time you read Surah Muzammal. At the end of the wazifa Darood/Salavat 11 times. Then do a dua and send the Savab/Hasana to the Ummet and ask Allah to make you rich. You will see the effects after 1 week of this wazifa

3
Allah will increase you Rizk/Income immensely if you can do this everyday. Every day after Fajr Salah Darood/Salavat 11 times Ayet no 2 and 3 of Surah talak 300 times (read both ayets as one ayet) Darood/Salavat 11 times

4
You will never need any other wazifa again to become rich if you can do this every night. Read Ya Vahhabo (Allahs name) 1000 times between the 2 sunnet of Esha Salah and vitar. Darood/Salawat 11 times before and after. This is a forever wazifa. It takes hardly 7-8 minutes to read it 1000 times. Such a small wazifa but it works like fire for rizk. Vahhab was the name of Allah that Prophet Sayyedina Sulaiman Alaihis salam used to read. It was the barakat of this name of Allah that every thing used to obey him.

RIZQ
Sixth way: According to Late Allamah Majlisi: Allah will
expand the sustenance of one who performs it and this way is proven effective: On the first night of every month, recite Surah Hamd 1000 times then recite this verse 21 times:

Transliteration: Rabbana anzil alaina maaidatan minas samaai takoonu lana eedan li awwalina aakhirina wa aayatan minka, war zuqna wa anta khairur raaziqeen.1[247] Then recite this 21 times:

Translation: Wa mayn yattaqillaaha yaj-al lahu makhrajan. Wa yarzuqhu min haithu laa yah tasibu. Wa mayn yatawakkal alallaahi fa huwa hasbuhu. Innallaaha baalighu amrih, qad ja-allaahu li kulli shayyin Qadra.2[248] In the end, recite 10 times as follows:3[249]
.

Transliteration: Yaa Razzaaqu, Yaa Fattaahu, Yaa Wahhaabu, Yaa Ghaneeyyu, Yaa Mughneeyu, Yaa Baasitu.

1 2 3

2
After every Salah/Namaz without talking to anyone Ayet kursi once Surak Talak (Quran Chap 28) Ayet no 2, and 3, from Wa mun yat ti killah ho..till. kad Ja aa lal la ho le kul ley shey in kadra. :once Surah fatiha once Surah ihlas 3 times Drood/Salawat 3 times Then do a dam (Blow) on the sky The reader of this Wazifa will get the following: Allah will take his soul himself directly. No angel of death will come near him to take his soul. Allah will send his soul directly to heaven without any hisab. In life his rizk will always be very big. Will never have problems with money. His grave will be very wide. He will die with Iman

3
According to Quran our Prophet Rasullul lah (Sallal laho alihe Wa aalehi wa sallam) is present every where and especially in the houses of all muslims. When a Sahabi complained about being poor the Prophet Rasullul lah (Sallal laho alihe Wa aalehi wa sallam) advised him to the following. Every time you enter the house whether it is empty or not say in loud voice As salam o alikum wa rehmatullahe wa barakatuhoo Read any Draood/Salavat once

Read Surah ikhlas 3 times Allah will increase your rizk immensely. The Prophet Rasullul lah (Sallal laho alihe Wa aalehi wa sallam) said even if you enter the house 70 times in a day do this procedure. You must do this all in loud enough voice. Such a easy way to becoming rich and no effort is required.

TO PAYOFF LOAN
Read Surah Tehreem everyday once. Imam jafir sadik (our 5th imam) said if your loan is as big as mountain it will be paid off. Please read Darood 11 times before and after and then do a dua every day.

HAJAT
If you have a Hajat you want very quick please read Surah Yasin as follows for 3 days only. Darood/Salavat 3 times The first word "Yasin" 10 times After reading the first Mubeen of Surah Yasin please read this Ayet of Surah Fatiha 10 times iiya ka na budu va iiya ka nasta een After that, after reading each Mubeen you will read the above Ayet 10 times. when you come to this Ayet salam mun kolum min rabi rahim read it 1000 times. Finally Darood/Salavat 3 times. Then do a dua for your hajat/wish. Repeat the whole process 7 times everyday. Yes 7 times each day in one sitting. what ever you wish will happen within 3 days. Please write your dua on a piece of paper and use the same words each time you do your dua. If you made a mistake in counting you will have to start the whole wazifa from zero again

Imam Jafar e Sadiq (a.s.) has said that one who recites the following words 25 times every day, then Allah will write one virtue in the names of all the momins from Adam (a.s.) till the Day of Reckoning and to that individual he will Reward equal to that of all the momins:

Allahumma aghfiru lilmomineena wal mominaate wal muslimeena wal muslimaate
