Associated Student Government University of Arkansas ASG Senate Resolution No. 38 Authors: Director of Advancement Channing Pejic, Justice Marc Lewis, Kathryn Snyder, Kikko Haydar Sponsors: Senator Will Hansen, Senator Will Simpson A Resolution to Support an Increase in Student Seating Near the Court at Bud Walton Arena Whereas, Student enthusiasm and support for Razorback basketball is at its highest in years, and students purchased a record number of Razorback Access Passes this year for student section seating; and Students are consistently filling the Trough, which is the bleacher seating in close proximity to the court, long before tipoff while leaving numerous students unable to sit where many of the most energetic student fans are found; and The University and Athletic Department are always looking for additional ways to increase attendance, and inject students and their passion into games; and We expect Coaches Mike Anderson, Tom Collen, and their staffs to continue improving the quality of our mens and womens basketball programs in their goals to compete nationally at a high level; then Through this resolution the Student Body will voice our desire for increased student seating near the basketball court at Bud Walton Arena; and Better seating will excite students, will increase student presence at games, and will help ensure that Bud Walton Arena continues to have one of the best home court advantages in the NCAA; and The University of Arkansas ASG will present this resolution to the office of Athletic Director Jeff Long.
