Investigation of EEG signal under different activities (Individual Assignment) Using the EMOTIV EEG headset available at the

department to capture EEG signal under the following situations: 1. Meditation/Relaxed state of mind 2. Eye blinking 3. Focused visual activity 4. A particular emotion (anger, sorrow, happiness etc.) 5. A task requiring active concentration - working out a sum, playing chess (or a some form of game) on the computer etc. You can also take a reference signal which could be (1) above or slightly differ ent. For each activity, briefly discuss the following: 1. Based on the characteristics of decomposed EEG signals, what would be your ex pectation of the composite EEG signal and if the actual signal is different, the possible reasons for it. 2. Noticeable changes with respect to reference signal. 3. Your judgement on whether the composite signal alone would be sufficient to d ifferentiate among activities. Of the above activities, select any two and decompose them and comment on what y ou observe highlighting whether they match your original expectations.
