Conditional Sentences Type 1

If the temperature rises by C, the world will 1 face severe droughts.

If the temperature rises by 2 C, Greenlands ice sheet will melt.

If the temperature rises by 3 C, tropical rain forests will burn down.

If the temperature rises by 4 C, West Antarctic ice sheet will melt, causing extinction of polar bear and other ice dependent animal.

If the temperature rises by 5 C, sea animal will die.

If the temperature rises by 6 C, fire balls will rain from the sky.

Global warming is a very serious issue. But you can take an action to reduce it right away.

If you plant a tree, it will absorb a ton (that's 2000+ lbs.) of CO2 over its lifetime.

If you unplug the power cords of your electronics, you will save energy.

If you recycle objects, you will reduce garbage.

Function
Conditional Sentence Type I is used to talk about a probable or certain outcome in the future, or something we believe will happen if the condition is satisfied. It is frequently used to give warnings, to offer advices.

Advice
If you go out in the rain, you will enjoy.

Warning
If you go out in the rain, you will get wet.

Form
Conditional sentence type I consists of two parts
Present Indefinite Tense

If you recycle objects, you will reduce garbage.


Future Indefinite Tense

If you recycle objects, you will reduce garbage.


But you could also say:

You will reduce garbage if you recycle objects.


Both are correct and have a similar meaning

Mahreen is a famous actress who is recently selected for the upcoming, reality show Survivor . In this show, the contestants have to live in a deserted island for a month. The participants have to find food, water, fire and shelter for themselves; however, they are allowed to take any four of the following items with them.

Write an SMS to Mahreen and offer her two advices and give two warnings, regarding the selection of any four of the following items.

In the recent years, mobile phones have rapidly become a necessity; however, the users do not know the health and safety risks of these devices. Furthermore, the mobile phone firms have been accused of concealing warnings about the health risks of using their handsets.

Being a responsible citizen, you are required to find out the harmful effects of mobile phones and the advices that should be included on the mobile phone boxes for the users to minimise mobiles detrimental effects, then write a short speech (150 200 words) for your school mates, based on the gathered information (warning and advices for mobile phones users).
