March 31, 2011 To Whom It May Concern: It is my pleasure to recommend Nicole McIntyre to your program.

Nicole is bright and committed to education and would therefore be a true asset to your program. Nicole is currently one of my students in a service-learning psychology course, where I have noticed her intelligence and maturity. She comes to class prepared every week and consistently produces thoughtful work. She is a pleasure to teach, and we have come to rely on her for great insights into the material. Nicole is an active participant in every class and is always ready to share her experiences and opinions. Furthermore, she does so in a way that aids others learning and provokes deeper discussion among her classmates. She is a true leader in her discussion group. With her confident and mature attitude, I know she would do an excellent job working with the students in your program. Nicoles insights during class also highlight a passion for teaching younger students. As part of my course, she has a volunteer placement at a local elementary school, and Nicole has dedicated herself whole-heartedly to it. While others may only complete their placement hours and put little thought into the experience, Nicole makes an effort to connect course content to her interactions with the elementary students. Out of all my students this semester, she is clearly one of the most thoughtful and committed. Nicole brings a wonderful energy both to the classroom and to her elementary school placement.
