Dowel Bar Requirements: a. Plain Round Bars: ASTM A615M, Grade 400 or higher. b. Epoxy Coating: AASHTO M254, Type B. Minimum Coating Thickness of 0.15 mm after cure. c. Length: 450 mm d. Diameter: as ordered

Skewed Contraction Basket Assembly Requirements: e. Skew: One longitudinal to six transverse. f. To support the ordered number of dowels in the longitudinal direction, parallel to the subgrade, at 305 mm center-to-center spacing and at one-half the height of the designed concrete pavement thickness.

g. Dowels to be arc or resistance welded to the basket at alternate ends. h. Basket assembly to be constructed with a wire of 7.77 mm minimum diameter.

Basket Assembly Anchor Pin Requirements: i. j. Two anchor pins per 900 mm length of basket assembly. Anchor pins to be 125 mm minimum to 140 mm maximum constructed to insure penetration into the granular base.

k. Anchor pins to be constructed with a wire of 7.77 mm minimum diameter.
