This flow chart demonstrates the process of getting the patients from their initial consultation visit to their first IMRT treatment. After the patient images are obtained during CT simulation, the plan is created and then approved by the physics and the physician. Proper documentation is essential for the purpose of billing, second checks, and the quality assurance check. At the end, the therapists receive the plan and carry out the treatments. Having well organized workflow is very important to the success of the treatment. It assures the efficiency of communication and increases the awareness of the whole multidisciplinary team during the patient treatment.
