Associated Student Government University of Arkansas ASG Senate Bill No. 22 Author: Senator Victoria Maloch Sponsor: Senator Victoria Maloch The Ballot Information Accessibility Act Whereas, Campaigning for ASG Senate as a part of a ticket is commonly practiced; and Tickets can allow voters to more easily identify candidates platforms; and Candidates running alone and candidates running as a ticket have the same advantage of campaigning on an identifiable central platform; and Many candidates are often included on a single ticket, making name recognition or recall of every member of the ticket sometimes difficult; then Candidates shall have the option to indicate to voters if they are on a campaign ticket; and This indication and the name of their campaign ticket shall be made available to voters on the ballot; and This information shall be made available through a separate link, such as where candidate biographies are currently placed, in order to avoid candidates feeling pressured to run as a part of a ticket.
