Associated Student Government University of Arkansas ASG Senate Resolution No. 63 Authors: Senator Autumn Lewis, Senator Hayley Noga, Senator Ellen Rudolph Sponsors: Senator Mark Cameron, Senator Wil Cheatham, Senator Morgan Farmer, Autumn Lewis, Senator Hayley Noga, Senator Joe Kieklak, Senator Ellen Rudolph A Resolution for an Expanded Grade Forgiveness Policy Whereas, Whereas, Whereas, Whereas, Grade forgiveness is beneficial to both students and the University of Arkansas; and Many schools in the SEC offer more than two (2) opportunities for students to choose to repeat a course using grade forgiveness; and Uniquely, students suffering from poor mental health could benefit from an expansion in this policy; and An expansion in grade forgiveness will allow University of Arkansas students to be more competitive in national scholarship contests and job interviews; and Grade forgiveness can help a student recover from hardships that have affected him or her academically; then The Associated Student Government supports an expansion of the current grade forgiveness policy to allow a student to repeat a maximum of four (4) courses during his or her undergraduate career.
