ABOUT THE PROJECT

The project entitled GARMENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM has been developed for the computerization of garments purchasing process. The project helps to achieve high response time in purchasing system, ease of stock management and at last the most important advantage is the high productivity of employee. The main modules in this project are Raw Material booking Classification of Raw Material Purchase of Raw Material Stock Maintenance Payment

The user operation is divided into two major groups as Administrator and User. The Users are having only limited rights in the system. They are allowed to access their allocated modules only. For example the user who is allocated to the stock department cant access the payment and others so it prevent the unwanted modifications. The Administrator is fully authorized for all modification and system installations, Administrator fully control all users and their modules. He can able to modify the user access rights also.

EXISTING SYSTEM In the existing system, the user must search manually. The manual searching consumes lot of time and hard work. And also they can search only limited areas. And also they can get the little product information and the information may not be true. Many people do not know about the current trend company information and their products. So we need a new system for user convenient.

DRAWBACKS OF THE EXISTING SYSTEM The customer go each and every place to collect the information means there is no guarantee that they can get all kind of information The customer takes lot of time to get all information They have to put hard work Lot of manual work should be implemented

In the proposed system, the customer gets all the type of information about purchasing of garments In the proposed system the user simply select the product and get the full information about products. And also get the information about the product stock, payment and booking of raw materials through the computer. In the proposed system, since all activities are computerized, it takes lee time for processing the information system and global access is the main features of the proposed system.

3.4 MODULE SPECIFICATION

The main modules developed in the project GARMENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM are, Purchase Module The purchase module is used to maintain the complete raw material purchasing system. Such as purchase of thread, cloths and dying materials. Purchase Module Booking Module Stock Module Payment Module

Booking Module The booking modules contains the information regarding order of raw materials, including supplier information, booking date, expected date of delivery, quantity and quality of product.

Stock Module Stock module maintains the stock details of the product. It updates the record while purchasing and production automatically, through this module user can know the available stocks which helps to increase the productivity of the company.

Payment Module It includes the data regarding advance payment and credit payment. This module helps to user know the statics of the payment. It closely related with the companys

financial department which helps to the finance department to predict and estimate the production cost.
