Learning standard: 2.1.1 (a), 2.2.3 Lesson objectives: By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to: a) Recognize and articulate medial sounds in single syllable word within given context. /i:/ ( ee) , (ea) /I/ ( i )

b) Read and understand simple sentences in linear texts. Activities : 1. Teacher shows pictures of a mouse and a cat. 2. Teacher asks questions related to the pictures. 3. Teacher reads the story with correct intonation ,pronunciation and gestures. 4. Teacher reads the story with pupils and stresses on the words with the medial sounds. 5. Teacher drills the words to the pupils. 6. Pupils read the story with correct pronunciation with guidance and teacher talks about the moral value in the story. 7. Teacher shows the text with the missing alphabets on the board . 8. Pupils use the correct sounds card given and paste them correctly. 9. Teacher shows a table with different sounds on the board . 10.Pupils paste the word cards given under the correct categories.
