The Berlin Wall After WWII U.S., France, U.K, and Soviets divided Germany. The capital Berlin. The Soviets didnt want people to go to West Berlin were it was free, so the Berlin Wall. Many families got separated. Recently I saw a photo of the wall. Along the ground of the wall are bushes of barbed wire. At the base of the wall is just a slab of light gray cement about three and half ft. tall and two ft. wide. Then, on top of the cement slabs are two rows of dark grey blocks. On top of that is one row of blocks that is light grey. Over that are metal bars with barbed wire strung all over them. The overall height of the wall was about 12 ft. The wind is still and silent.
