Principles for listening activities:


1. Skills-integrated lesson: The listening activity is integrated with other skills such as speaking
and writing in the before listening and after listening respectively.
2. Top-down and bottom-up processes: The activity asks students to do some speaking and
sharing information before the actual listening activities. In he second part the True and False
activities help students pick up specific information.
3. Developing listening strategies: students listen for key words and key phrases and try using
the new language.
