spay/neuter programs. Place adoptable animals into caring homesAbused pets

Problems faced by the shelter

Extremely crowded with animals diseased, badly injured, aggressive, or elderly

animals were sent by the owners

Limited source of fund to run/operate the shelter

(food, medical care, utility bills and salary for the shelters workers.) The money is usually from generous donations, taxpayer money or Nongovernment Organisation; but these are just little compared to the expenditure needed to run the facility.

How can adopting the animals help the shelter?

When most people think of adopting an animal,

they go to a pet store and find the animal that they would like to adopt. But many people do not know that they can adopt animals from animal shelters. If animals are not adopted from shelters and the shelter needs more space for animals then the animals that are occupying the needed spaces will be put to sleep. Adopting an animal from a shelter is a rescue because you will be saving the life of an animal that is facing death.
