Unless specified all questions refer to AS2177. 1) Calculate Minimum SFD for: a) XR2/DWD, Effective focal spot size 2.8mm. 2 NPS, SCH 160, (assume 2mm reinforcement on weld) b) GR1/DWS, Isotope size 2.0mm x 1.75mm 12 NPS, SCH 120 (assume 2mm reinforcement on weld) 2) Calculate the IQI sensitivity for: a. XR2 from above, wire 12 visible through weld. b. GR1 from above, wire 8 visible through weld. 3) If a film viewer has an output of 73,000 Cd/m2 what is the maximum density of a film that can be viewed? 4) Using attached H&D curve. If an exposure with Agfa D7 density 2 is 3.1 minutes. How long would an Agfa D2 density 2.5 take? 5) If on March 13 2012, an Ir192 DWD exposure at 800mm SFD took 7 minutes. How long would it take to take the same shot at 650mm SFD on 28 June 2012? (assume life 74 days). 6) A 10 FE EN IQI was used for a film side IQI exposure on a 15mm thick weld to ASME V article 2. What would be the essential wire on the 10 FE EN IQI.
