    There are 3 questions in this paper. It is divided into 3 sections: Section A (Sentence Constructions 10 marks) Section B (Information Transfer 15 marks) Section C (Note Expansion 15 marks) Answer all questions in the space provided.

    SECTION A: Sentence Constructions

    A SIMPLE TECHNIQUE

    SUBJECT-VERB AGREEMENT
    Basic Principle: Singular subjects need singular verbs; Plural subjects need plural verbs.
    My brother is a nutritionist. My sisters are mathematicians.

    SUBJECT-VERB AGREEMENT
    The indefinite pronouns: anyone, everyone, someone, no one, nobody are always singular and, therefore, require singular verbs.
    Everyone has done his/her homework. Somebody has left her purse.

    SUBJECT-VERB AGREEMENT
