Academic Language Focus

Adjectivean adjective is a word that describes how something looks, tastes, or smells. Adjectives are words that are often used to describe nouns.

Closure Once you get to your stations complete this worksheet. I will come around and collect them in a couple of minutes.

Student Accommodations

For the students who finish the worksheet quickly they can start their station work. For the students who are struggling I will sit with them at a table and review adjectives. Once the students finish the work sheet they can start to work on their station work.

Self Reflection The next time I do this lesson I would have better directions for the students about using adjectives to describe how their objects feel. I would go over a few examples before hand. I would also go over one example of each of the questions on the worksheet. This way the students would have a clearer description of the expectations.
