MAT400 Questions

2012. 09. 14.

Pulse Per Second (pps): If measured pulse count per second exceeds a defined Alarm value (pps) in Setup screen, it is considered to be in alarm state. ALARM LED on the top panel is blinking when system is alarm state. The Alarm is a very important parameter in measuring PD pulse. The Alarm should be set to optimize the conditions of system installation and environment for measurement accuracy. Threshold Level (mV): Set up the threshold level in mV of the signals to be measured in the MAT400. The threshold level is a very important parameter in measuring PD pulse. The threshold level should be set to optimize the conditions of system installation and environment for measurement accuracy. Envelope Time (uS) : Set up the envelope detection time in uS. Please refer to PD Signal Handling Algorithm Section in the end of manual. When envelope signal longer than the defined Envelope Time in Setup screen, then system interprets the signal as invalid signal during signal processing

There are not only PD signal, but also Other signals from other things.
Envelop time is for only catching PD Signal.
