POOL APPLICATION

Thank you for using my Pool Application. This application will help you determine the volume of pools, hot tubs both round and rectangle, convert temperature, and save your contact lists. This users manual is organized by the different tabs.

HOME TAB
The Home Tab is a simple welcoming screen. From this tab, you can see the current date and exit the application.

Click this button to close the application

POOLS TAB
The Pools Tab is used to calculate the volume of the Pool. You must enter the length, width, and depth of the pool. Then you will click the Calculate Volume button. The results are shown below the button.

You must enter these values. Only numbers are accepted.

Use caution when entering your input values. Only numeric values are accepted. In my example below, 12..5 is invalid. The error message found in the System Message Area will explain what I did wrong and allow me to enter the correct value.

The Clear button is used to clear the current form. It will clear the entries in the Length, Width, and Depth fields along with any results or System Messages.

HOT TUBS TAB

The Hot Tubs tab is used to calculate the volume of a hot tub. You have the option between a round tub and a rectangular tub. Be sure to choose the correct option!

Be sure to select the appropriate type of tub

When you select the round option, you will not enter the width of the tub as the length and width would be the same.

System Message Area

This tab works very much like the Pools tab. You enter the values required then click the Calculate Volume button. The results will be shown below the Calculate Volume Button. The clear button will clear the current form. Any error messages will be shown in the System Message Area.

TEMPERATURE CONVERTER TAB

The Temperature Converter Tab is used to convert temperature between degrees Celsius and degrees Fahrenheit .

First you will enter your temperature in the text field. Next, you will use the drop-down menu to signify what the input represents. In the example below, I input 78.5 degrees Celsius. Next, you click the Convert Temp button. The results are shown in the area below the Convert Temp button.

My results are in Fahrenheit because I select C for Celsius for the input.

The clear button will clear the contents in the textbox, change the input Temperature type to F and set the results to 0 c. It will also clear any error messages in the System Message Area.

CONTRACTORS TAB
The Contractors Tab is used to store the contact information for your Contractors. When you open the tab, the application will look for any saved Contractors. If it does not find any, it will display a message.

This message will appear when you have not entered any contractors or the file cannot be found.

Click the Add Contractor Button to add new Contractors. The following dialog box will open.

Enter the Contractor name in the Name field. Enter the Telephone Number in the Telephone Number field. The telephone must be entered in the following format: ###-###-####. An error message will appear in the System Message Area on this dialog box if the entry is invalid. See my example below.

When you are done entering your Contractor information, click Done. If the entries are valid, your information should appear in Contractors Tab of the Pools Application.

You can add another contractor by clicking the Add Contractor Button again. Continue this process until you have entered all of your Contractors. The next time you open the application, all of your Contractors will appear in this list.

You will also notice that scroll bars will automatically appear if the list scrolls off of the page.

MENU BAR
The Menu Bar can be accessed from any tab. You can use the File Menu to close the application at any time. You can also use the Red X in the upper right corner to close the application. You can use the Help Menu to see that you have the latest version and find my contact information.
