What Youll Need

2 wooden pallets 2x coach bolts with wing nuts 58 woodscrews (1) 8 woodscrews (2) 1 bottle of wood glue 1 saw Drill & drill bits for your screws 1 crowbar (or your favorite demo tools, like pliers, cats paw or nail puller) Sandpaper or palm sander Tape measurer and pencil for marking

STEP 1: Disassemble pallets

Take apart the pallets, remove all nails and sand down rough edges.

STEP 2: Cut pieces to size

From the thinner pallet pieces Seat Slats: 6x 24 in Back Slats & Underseat Slat: 5x 22.5 in

From the thicker pallet pieces Frame Legs: 2x 27 in Back Frame: 2x 19 in with a 13deg angle cut from one side (so it aligns with the leg frame) Front Legs: 2x 12.5 in with a 16deg angle cut from one side (so it sits flat on the floor) Blocks: 4x 2 in Inner Frame: 2x 14.5 in

STEP 3: Assemble the bottom frame

Take the frame legs, inner frames, and front legs. Pre-drill and countersink five holes at even spacing on the inner frames. Two of the holes should be placed on the front legs and three on the frame legs. Screw the three pieces together for to create the leg assembly for both sides. Next screw the blocks into the inside of the leg assembly with the two in screws. STEP 4: Assemble the seat slats

Take the first five slats and screw them into the leg assembly leaving a 0.2 in gap in between each. Start a the corner and work back. Screw in one underseat slat on the bottom of the blocks in the front.

STEP 5: Assemble the back frame

Take the two back frame parts and attach two blocks to the straight ends using the two in screws. Then take the a back slat and screw it into the end. Screw in two more slats onto the front, then turn it over and screw in the last back slat to the top.

STEP 6: Assemble back and leg assemblies

Take the back assembly and insert it into the leg assembly behind the fifth slat. It should lean approximately 110 degrees from the seat. Mark the center of where the boards meet and drill a hole big enough for the carriage bolts to go through. Bolt the back assembly into place and finish with the sixth slat directly behind the back frame to finish.

STEP 7: Decorate

Sand rough edges and then paint or decorate to your hearts content.
