FORECLOSURE TRIAL WORKSHOP

Course Classification: Intermediate Level Florida Bar CLE Ref #1304560N Live Presentation July 20, 2013 & July 21, 2013 8am to 5:30pm Courtyard Marriot Fort Lauderdale Airport & Cruise Port 400 Gulfstream Way, Dania Beach, FL 33004-2124 Overview: The course will cover all aspects of defending a foreclosure trial. Drafting and amending pleadings to properly frame your case, all pertinent evidentiary topics, effective direct, cross, and voir dire examination, how to thoroughly prepare for trial, and all applicable statutory and case law will be covered. The first day will be a seminar addressing the above topics and more, in detail. Extensive materials including pleadings, discovery, applicable motions, trial prep checklist, cross and voir dire outlines, copies of statutes and case law, and more will be provided. The second day will be comprised of NITA style mock examinations and role playing to effectively examine a bank and/or servicer witness in a foreclosure trial. Buffet breakfast, lunch and afternoon snacks are included. Due to the nature of the NITA style mock examinations on day two, the seminar is limited to a maximum of 20 attendees.
