Dear Parents,

Progress reports went home Friday. If you need to sent up a

conference or have any questions, please email me to set up a time.
I will be at the Diocesan offices on Tuesday to grade the eighth grade
writing assessments. Mrs. Miles will be substituting.

Note: The Nicene Creed test has been moved to Wednesday

This week is Toy Bowl Field Day at John Carroll. Permission slips
went home two weeks ago. If your child plans to attend this field trip
with the class, he/she must have a signed permission slip. Students
will be required to stay in our designated area all day. Under no
circumstances can children without a permission slip be dropped of at
John Carroll on their own. We still need drivers to transport students.

Seventh grade will be working with indirect objects and diagramming

this week in English. Eighth grade will be working on a new prompt
this week as well as non-verbal descriptive writing.

Each week I try to list as many assignments/projects/tests that the

students have so you will know well ahead of time. This will help you
when you assist your child with his/her homework. Please remember
these dates are tentative to schedule interruptions and student
comprehension and mastery. The following are dates to remember:

4/28 – Vocabulary - Cumulative Review 1 due

4/29 – 7th grade – Nicene Creed test – oral

Confirmation practice 7:00

4/30 –Vocabulary – Cumulative review 2 due

Confirmation

5/1 – Toy Bowl

5/2 – End of the Year dance – hosted by the 7th grade

5/5 – Vocabulary – Cumulative review 3 due

5/7 – Vocabulary – Cumulative review 4 due

5/8 – K – 3 Field Day – 7th grade is responsible for this day

5/14 & 5/15 – Vocabulary exam – Chapters 10-15 – definition only

I wish everyone a blessed week.

In Christ,

Christine Golab
