Storyboard 1

Organisation leaders determine what they need volunteers to accomplish and what resources are available.

A brief is written and this call to action is sent out to all members.

Volunteers get the call to action and come up with ideas to meet the challenge.

Volunteers submit responses to the brief back to the leadership.

Organisation leaders mark responses up and down to find a consensus on the best ones.

Volunteers are selected to proceed with their idea. A leader provides them with resources while the successful volunteer recruits others to assist with the project.

Storyboard 2

Supporters of a cause independently come up with ideas to help it.

They post their ideas and promote it to other supporters of the cause seeking pledges of action.

Gaps for key skills from the pledges received are identified. Skill specific searches and recruitment occurs.

Supporters collaborate to make a plan of action and to do list. Communication also allows them to ask questions about the project and make decisions as a group

Similar projects can be merged to create bigger projects with more impact.

Once a project is successfully completed the organisers put together resources explaining how to replicate their project. Other people with similar project ideas can search a database to find these resources from past projects to learn from them.
