    THEME: A FAITHFUL SERVANT TOPIC: PETER: A FAITHFUL SERVANT TEXT: 1ST CORINTHIANS 4:1-21, JOHN 1: 35-42 INTRODUCTION: The above passage reveal to us how Peter was introduced to Jesus and ever since that point Peter has never backed out of the team that later became the apostle of Jesus Christ, that spread the message throughout the whole world till date. In the above passage we notice that Peter was not the first to see Jesus, the brother Andrew did and introduced him, but from that point he became the Cephas (rock) which means the leader of the team. Happy studies as we dig into Peters life as a faithful servant. 1. FAITHFUL AS A FOLLOWER OF CHRIST As a committed follower with his resources. Luke 5:1-3 As a chronic trustee of Christ. John 6:68-69, Matt. 16:16 As faithful defender of his Master. John 18:10, Matt. 16:21-22, Mark 14:29 As a proven mentor and motivator of others. John 21:2-3 One among the trusted three disciples. Mark 9:2 2. AS A FAITHFUL LEADING APOSTLE Chosen to lead other apostles in the face of stiff opposition and derision. Acts 2:12-15 Rejoiced to share in the suffering of Christ. Acts 4:1-3, Acts 5:40-41 Courageous and bold to share and defend his faith before the high and low in the society. Acts 2:14, Acts 5:29-34 Maximized the grace of God all through. CAN I EMULATE HIM?

John 17:7, Isaiah 26:4 In defending the faith. 2nd Tim. 1:13-14 In endurance and perseverance in hardship. 2nd Tim.3:12, 1st Peter 2:19, 4:12-16 By maximizing the grace we receive from Christ. Titus 2:11-13

    CONCLUSION: Peter A man full of Faith lived and died a faithful man, for the course which was committed to him by the Lord, we also need to live and die for this same course because it is a worthy one. 2nd Peter 1:12-15
