MEANING OF COMMUNICATION
We cannot live alone in this world. We want to
share our thoughts with others. We want to send
and receive messages. We doo so by talking and
writing. This is called communication
development of science and technology has
given many new means of communication.
ANCIENT MEANS OF
COMMUNICATION
 A few centuries ago man and pigeons used
to go from one place to another for giving
and receiving message.
MODERN MEANS OF
COMMUNICATION
 We know that millions of letters sent and
received through post offices. No, we can
send message through telegraph wires,
telex's for machine and telephone.
MEANS OF MASS COMMUNICATION
 Radio, television and cinema are means of
mass communication. They are not for
entertainment but also for spreading
knowledge and education.
COMMUNICATION SATELLITES
 Satellites can pick up signals from any
place and relay them to other places. Now
it is possible for radio, telephone and
television to transmit and receive signal
from around the world.
INTERNET AND E-MAIL
 Internet and e-mail is the latest development
in mass communication. We can receive and
send messages quickly. We can talk to any
person face to face in different cities and
even in different countries with the help of e-
mail and internet
CONCLUSION
 Science and technology have provided us
with very effective and useful means of
communication. We must use these
developments for the benefit of mankind. All
of us should use these achievements of
science and technology to make our world a
better place to live in.
