OPENING CEREMONY FOR THE ENERGY SECTOR SECURITY INITIATIVE CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE WORKSHOP
5th July 2013 Senator the Honourable Emmanuel George, Minister of National Security, invites all Media to the opening ceremony for the CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE SUBJECT MATTER EXPERT EXCHANGE (CI SMEE) workshop, on Tuesday 9th July, 2013 at 8:30AM. The ceremony will be held at the US Embassy Conference Facility, Briar Place, Sweet Briar Street, Port-of-Spain. The Honourable Minister of National Security will deliver opening remarks. The US Embassy has advised that all media representatives identified to cover this event to submit their names, ID number, Date of Birth and Address for security clearance before 3:00 p.m today. The ESSI conference will be held from the 9th-11th July, 2013, under the theme Securing Our Future The main objectives of this strategic conference are to continue capacity building in critical infrastructure protection, vulnerability assessment team training and certification, integrated risk management mitigation and to develop the mechanisms for private/public information sharing across the energy sector for national stakeholders.

Participates of this conference will be drawn from National Security and Private and Public Energy Sector Companies in Trinidad and Tobago and Subject Matter Experts from the United States Department of Homeland Security, the Delaware National Guard, the US Department of Energy and the US National Training Centre.
