Short View: Multilateralism in Global Governance LONG KimKhorn 61283, PUC, MA.

IRs &Diplomacy July 10, 2013 In the United Nations charter stated that all Member States of the UN should comply all the norms and regulations and also the principal of the UN but the charter also mentioned that the UN or its organs/ agencies couldnt interfere in the internal affair of the Member States because of the sovereignty of the States. Furthermore, the principal as well as the charter as the whole, it is not the law that obligate all Member States must obey but the charter is just the agreement between the UN and the Member States and between state to state. In order to implement global governance through the UNs principal, the UN must need the corporation from the state actors even not all but the majority except some issue such as war crime, especially, crime against humanity in failed states, that the UN security council can use directive power to help the citizen in the state but however the UN security council still need the vote from the security council members 15 states including 5 permanent members like the US, China, Russia, UK and France. To achieve the positive result its global governance mission, the UN do need the multilateral corporation indeed from the Member States, especially, from the concerning parties otherwise the UN is just like talk-shop that have big voice but not heard. So far, there is always debate over the principal Treaty should be honored versus state is the sovereign actor. It is true and it will be true ever that without multilateralism, the UN global governance wont go far in the world history. -END-
