Bio Library Media Specialist at Grove Street School Provide opportunity for student to participate in planting flowers and

vegetables in Community Garden and teach students the importance of healthy eating choices. Wrote and Directed Rosa Parks Production with the assistants of the students which consisted of 88 with a combination of regular and special education students. Liaison for Tools for School Program and was able to assist families in need in emergency situation by providing the children with clothing. Assist students to use their creativity to write stories for puppet shows. The students also use artistic talents to make puppets and props depicting various scenes. The students performed before students from other schools within the district using technology. Celebrity Read- Invited guests to read to students and share career experiences . Serve on Martin Luther King Commemorative Program- students are able to perform before an audience to display talents through singing and dancing. Use live butterfly kits to teach students the Life Cycle of the Butterfly. Students were able to witness what happens when the caterpillar metamorphosis into a butterfly. Organized Butterfly Parade - Principal, teachers, support staff, students, parents, and community marched around the school building and witness the release of the butterflies. Participates in many PTAs were administrators, parents, teachers, support staff and student discuss issues and concern and work cohesively to find solutions to create a safe and educational environment for student achievement. Earth Day Project- Organized Community Clean-ups Students collaboratively worked in groups. The students used technology to research information on Earth Day and typed a report. They also wrote poems and an Earth Day rapp song. The students enjoyed creating posters on recycling and keeping the neighborhood clean. The students volunteered in a neighborhood clean up and planted flowers at the Irvington Neighborhood Improvement Consortium Created Grove Street School Online Library- Students are able to access over 300 ebooks linked to my eBoard to motivate students to read and increase literacy. Helped students organize Food Drives to help families in need

Penny Drive for the Haitian Relief Fund Trained teacher to create eBoards as a communication tool for parents and students Putting on the Hits- Organized show for students, parents, teachers, and the community to display talents through song or dance. Black History Month Programs- Black History Month Programs- students researched Great American Americans who have made valuable contributions and read reports at the Parent Teacher Association Meeting. Family Night Presenter- Held workshops to prepare parents with information on test taking strategies in order to prepare their child for the state test. Created the Grove Street Community Technology Center- Teachers, Support Staff, Parents, Students and the Community utilize center for reach purposes, job searches, and creating documents. My first goal is to assist instructional staff to effectively and productively incorporate technology into the curriculum. I would like to create professional develop courses to train teachers and support staff to become highly proficient in the use of the latest technologies to enhance instruction. My second goal is to create technology centers in the senior citizen buildings within the Township of Irvington. This will not only help to stimulate the mines of the seniors, but with social interaction increase the quality of life. My last goal is to receive a quality education in the Educational Technology field. I am deeply honored to be accepted in the EDD Educational Technology program at New Jersey City University. I know this great institution will provide me with the skills to become a productive leader and educator.
