PROVERBS ON

A plan is simply a road map for getting you to your desired destination in life.

Planning is the process by which one sets goals and develops strategies to accomplish those goals in a specific environment and time period.

King Solomon had a clear plan that is of building a

magnificent temple for the worship of God. At the beginning of his reign, he called the people together and said: Behold, I am
planning to build a Temple to honor the name of the LORD my GOD. (1 Kings 5:5a)

WHY PLAN? Proverbs 21:5 Good planning and hard work lead to prosperity, but hasty shortcuts lead to poverty.

 In Gen. 41:33-36, after interpreting Pharaohs dream, Joseph gave the king a survival plan for the next 14 years.
Pharaoh should appoint supervisors over the land and let them collect 1/5 of all the crops during the 7 good years. Have them gather all the food produced in the good years that are just ahead and bring it to Pharaohs storehouses. Store it away, and guard it so there will be food in the cities. That way, there will be enough to eat when the 7 years of famine come to the land of Egypt.

How to make plans with the purposes of God in mind? a) Ask God for His vision for your life. Ask for Gods guidance. Salmo 27:11 Ituro nyo sa akin ang tamang pamumuhay. Ituro nyo ang daan na dapat kong lakran... b) Seek wise counsel or advices: Kawikaan 15: 22 Mabibigo ka, kapag hindi ka humihingi ng payo tungkol sa iyong mga pinaplano, ngunit kapag marami kang tagapayo magtatagumpay ang mga plano mo. 1) Spouse/Parents 2) Pastors 3) Matured Christians c) Take an inventory of your strengths and interests as well as your weakness and deficiencies.

PRINCIPLE#2

Soak you plans in prayer. (Kawikaan 16:3). Ipagkatiwala mo sa Panginoon ang lahat ng iyong gagawin at magtatagumpay ang lahat mong balakin.

PRINCIPLE#3

Allow God to change your plans as He sees fit

(Kawikaan 19:21) Marami tayong mga pinaplano ngunit ang kalooban pa rin ng Panginoon ang nasusunod.
