My charger: what happens when the battery is charged: Fast charge will drop into trickle charge.

Red blinking light will drop into gre en light ********************** Double the listed rating of the battery and that will give you the charging time . If the battery is a 600 mah battery pack, then 600 x 2 = 1200 = 1.2 amps. Char ge the pack at 1.2 amps for roughly 30 minutes. If the pack is a 1700 mah pack, then 1700 x 2 = 3400 = 3.4 amps @ 30 minutes. ******** Battery mAH / Charger mAH = number of hours needed to charge the battery ***** 1. Recharging a partially discharged NiCad battery won't cause a memory effect n or harm the pack. Doing it all of the time will. 2. I completely discharge my NiCad packs after use and then store them shorted ( wire connecting pos to neg) If it works for Sanyo and Panasonic, then its good e nough for me. I tried it, and it works. 3. NiMH packs should be stored in a charged state and periodically topped off. 4. Never charge a hot pack. NEVER. You'll get a false peak and you may damage th e pack thru overcharging. 5. Newer NiCad cells are less prone to memory effect than they used to be. 6. When discharging packs, never pull more than a 20 amp load on them. I know RC car/plane/boat hobbiests pull even more when using the packs, but heat can dama ge the cells and the cooler you run your packs the longer they will last.
