All about My Self

(AUTOBIOGRAPHY)

My name is Joemar M. Aquino, 24 years of age, a fifth year student taking up

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in Central Luzon State University (CLSU). I
was born on November 5, 1984 in a small barangay in Manaoag, a province of
Pangasinan. I’m the eldest of the four siblings of Mr. Mario F. Aquino and Mrs. Jovita
M. Aquino.

Fifteen years ago, in Pangasinan, I remember my father was very happy in

our closing ceremony because I got the highest honor in the class. I was in grade 1
that time. He is very proud of me because for the first time in their family a boy has
awarded first honor in the class. That time he promised me that he will do his best
and start saving money for my future college life. His big dream for me is to become
the first engineer in their clan. Three years after, a tragedy happened in our family.
My father died because of ulcer and other complications. That was a very sad
moment for me. All the dreams of my father for me have gone.

In 1996, my mother decided to live and continue our study in San Jose City,
Nueva Ecija. I’m a fifth grader that time. That was the time I made a promised to
myself that I will do my best to excel in school even if I’m a transferee and continue
the dream of my father for me. I made that dream to be my dream. Finally, I
graduated in Tumana Elementary School (TES) as a valedictorian and received
scholarship for my high school. I graduated in Constancio Padilla National High
School (CPNHS) in 2002.

Now, I’m in my senior year of my study as a BSCE student. There are a lot of
things that I have to value and give thanks. I thank God; first of all because even
we’re very short financially, He provided me scholarships, works, friends and a very
supportive family. I was enjoying the Nueva Ecija Provincial Government Scholarship
Program (NEPG) and at present, I am working at Pandayan Bookstore in San Jose. I
thank God also because He provides me my inspiration other than my family. He
provides me my “kuletz”. Her name is Aida Ducay. She is also very supportive and
helping me pursues this journey. I thank God because I believe someday sooner; I’ll
become a full pledge engineer.

This is my journey. This is my dream…
